We woke up early, just as the sun was beginning to cast its light over the river. The air was fresh, and the silence of dawn was only interrupted by the gentle hum of the boat's motor. We headed out to sea, leaving behind the coast and the wooden buildings that seemed to keep watch from the shore.

Now in the middle of the river, we patiently prepared our rods, each in his or her place. It was one of those moments where time stands still. The swaying of the water, the shared laughter, the coffee in a thermos being passed from hand to hand. We eagerly awaited that first bite, that twitch on the line that announced the arrival of the day's catch.

And it arrived. With effort and joy, we landed our first specimens. Fresh fish, shining brightly under the cloudy sky, and with the promise of becoming the best lunch in the world. We continued for a while longer, enjoying the moment, knowing that the second part of the plan awaited us.

Upon returning, back on dry land and with the fire lit, we began the barbecue ceremony. The fish, cleaned and seasoned, was placed on the grill. The embers provided even heat and crackled as if they, too, wanted to tell their part of the story.

The aroma enveloped everything. Smoke, wood, fresh fish… a combination that smells of reward, of a job well done, of a full day.

Thus, between fishing and fire, between river and coal, we experienced a day we'll never forget. Because there's nothing like sharing the fruits of a day's fishing with friends, by the warmth of the grill and with a full heart.

Nos levantamos temprano, cuando el sol apenas comenzaba a dibujar su luz sobre el río. El aire estaba fresco, y el silencio del amanecer solo era interrumpido por el leve zumbido del motor de la lancha. Nos dirigimos mar adentro, dejando atrás la costa y las construcciones de madera que parecían vigilar desde la orilla.

Ya en medio del río, preparamos las cañas con paciencia, cada uno en su puesto. Era de esos momentos donde el tiempo se detiene. El vaivén del agua, las risas compartidas, el café en termo que pasaba de mano en mano. Esperábamos con ilusión esa primera mordida, esa sacudida en la línea que anuncia la llegada de la pesca del día.

Y llegó. Con esfuerzo y alegría, sacamos nuestros primeros ejemplares. Pescados frescos, brillantes bajo el cielo nublado, y con la promesa de convertirse en el mejor almuerzo del mundo. Seguimos un rato más, disfrutando el momento, sabiendo que la segunda parte del plan nos esperaba.

Al regresar, ya en tierra firme y con el fuego encendido, comenzamos la ceremonia del asado. El pescado, limpio y condimentado, se colocó sobre la parrilla. Las brasas daban su calor parejo y crepitaban como si también quisieran contar su parte de la historia.

El aroma lo envolvía todo. Humo, leña, pescado fresco… una combinación que huele a recompensa, a trabajo bien hecho, a día completo.

Así, entre pesca y fuego, entre río y carbón, vivimos una jornada que difícilmente olvidaremos. Porque no hay nada como compartir el fruto de un día de pesca con amigos, al calor de la parrilla y con el corazón lleno.
