The day began as good days usually do: leisurely, with the scent of the firewood igniting and the promise of delicious food in the air.

As the embers were simmering, someone had already set up the improvised table with the essentials: a hearty snack. Thinly sliced ​​red chorizo, a cheese that barely melts to the touch, and a glass of ice-cold fernet and cola. The conversation flowed with jokes, memories, and those anecdotes that are repeated but always make you laugh.

The grill began to crackle, and the sound of the meat searing on the grates was music to the soul. Racks of ribs that promised glory, a cross laden with flavor and smoke that spiraled into the azure sky. Each turn of the meat was accompanied by knowing glances and the occasional impromptu toast.

When the sun began to set and the aroma of the barbecue became irresistible, it was time for the real toast. A bottle of Gran Famiglia red wine waited its turn like a main event. The uncorking was slow, ceremonial. A first sip, crispy bread, deep conversation. Everything took on a different flavor.

In that moment, we understood that you don't need much to be happy: a well-cut salami, well-tended charcoal grills, and a good wine that unites the words.

Because if life is a sum of moments, may many of ours resemble this one.

El día empezó como suelen empezar los buenos días: sin apuro, con el perfume de la leña encendiéndose y una promesa de comida sabrosa en el aire.

Mientras las brasas tomaban vida, alguien ya había preparado la mesa improvisada con lo esencial: una buena picada. Chorizo colorado cortado finito, un queso que apenas se desarma al tacto y una copa de fernet con cola bien fría. La charla fluía entre bromas, recuerdos y esas anécdotas que se repiten pero siempre hacen reír.

La parrilla empezó a crujir y el sonido de la carne sellándose sobre las rejillas fue música para el alma. Costillares que prometían gloria, una cruz cargada de sabor y humo que bailaba en espiral al cielo celeste. Cada vuelta a la carne era acompañada de miradas cómplices y algún que otro brindis improvisado.

Cuando el sol empezó a bajar y el aroma del asado ya era irresistible, llegó el momento del brindis de verdad. Una botella de vino tinto Gran Famiglia esperó su turno como un actor principal. El descorche fue lento, ceremonial. Un primer sorbo, pan crocante, charla profunda. Todo adquirió otro sabor.

En ese instante entendimos que no se necesita mucho para ser feliz: un salame bien cortado, brasas bien cuidadas y un buen vino que una las palabras.

Porque si la vida es una suma de momentos, que muchos de los nuestros se parezcan a este.
