Greetings ! Awesome Community, fellow Hivers, and friends!😁😀🐝
Following our deep dive into The Deceiver ,The C'tan of Trickery and Lies.(https://ecency.com/hive-189497/@xenowolfza/the-trickster-and-liar-c) , today we learn more about the ultima weapon/tool and the main source of necron technology!
Blackstone – The Cold Weapon of the Necron Empire
Across the galaxy lie monoliths of impossibly ancient origin, forged from a material darker than the void: Blackstone. Known to the Necrons as Noctilith, this eldritch mineral is not merely a substance-but a weaponized mystery. Cold, soulless, and antimaterial in every sense, Blackstone was designed for one singular purpose: to destroy the gods.💥
In the War in Heaven, when the Necrontyr first allied with the C'tan against the Old Ones, it became clear that conventional force alone would not be enough. The Old Ones wielded psychic power with mastery unmatched-creating new races and manipulating the fabric of reality itself. But Blackstone was the Necrons' answer. It drinks the Warp, nullifying sorcery, blunting the powers of psykers, and acting as a void in the currents of the Immaterium.
The Ultimate weapon
For the Necrons, Blackstone is both shield and sword. Their Dolmen Gates, used to pierce the barrier between realspace and the webway, are lined with it. Their tomb worlds are sheathed in it. Even their most devastating constructs, like the Blackstone Fortresses, are built around this anti-Warp engine, capable of annihilating entire star systems or silencing entire sectors of psychic life. Where a fortress awakens, astropaths go blind, daemons lose cohesion, and the Warp itself recoils.🔥

But in typical Necron fashion, there is no triumph-only bitter irony. The Blackstone Fortresses were stolen and turned against them in the long millennia of their slumber. The Imperium, Chaos, and xenos alike scavenge its remains, unknowingly wielding shards of an ancient genocide engine. Worse, there are whispers—recorded by radical Inquisitors and long-buried Mechanicus logs-that the Necrons are regathering Blackstone to reconstruct something far more terrifying. Not just a fortress. Not just a weapon. A cage.☠️

Bane for all!
Some believe the Necrons aim to imprison the Warp itself, to seal reality from the psychic cancer that led the galaxy to ruin. Others claim they seek to bait the gods, even the Chaos Powers, into a prison of Blackstone-a final act of cosmic revenge for all the suffering caused by the Immaterium and its spawn.👾🤖

Whatever their goal, one thing is clear: Blackstone is not just a tool and a weapon. It is a message. The Necrons remember everything-and they are not done yet....🔋

Super powerful stuff.
I wonder if it can close Web-way gates?
It might the possibilities are endless 😃🤖♾️
What a fascinating and captivaating read! Learning about the Warhammer Universe seems endless, but I think that's part of the thrill. One can try, but even if you buy every single lore book up until the latest one, you'll still somehow have missed something somewhere. It's just that vast. Thanks for the awesome read!
