National Frappe Day - Sunset Escape Frappe

Today is National Frappe Day here in the US, and I find no better way to celebrate a national coffee drink day than with a new coffee recipe, Skeleton Brew style.

Now that the days are getting shorter here in the northern hemisphere, appreciating a good sunset becomes all the more satisfying to do. This frappe is sure to help one along in that appreciation.

A frappe is, in short, a frozen coffee drink. There are many options available; some may construct their frappe with ice cream, others with just ice. Regardless, it's a frozen coffee drink.

Behold! Skeleton Brew's Sunset Escape Frappe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of Skeleton Brew's "Eternal Shadows" roast coffee, brewed and chilled
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut syrup
  • 1 cup of ice cubes
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Optional: toasted coconut flakes or chocolate drizzle for garnish

Directions:

Step 1: The Vacation Brew

Brew a cup of Skeleton Brew's "Eternal Shadows" roast coffee, rightly suited for a never-ending sunset, and let it cool. Allow the enticing aromas of this blend to transport you to a dreamy sunset on a tropical beach.

Step 2: The Coconut Infusion

In a blender, combine the chilled coffee, milk, chocolate syrup, coconut syrup, and ice cubes. Blend on high speed until smooth and frothy, creating a luscious frappé that captures the essence of a summer vacation.
