It's yet another Tuesday and a great day to share our tunes with fellow music lovers. #threetunetuesday is an initiative courtesy of @ablaze. The initiative is about sharing three tunes every Tuesday; sounds fun right?.

With that, I have three amazing tunes to share with you today. I would say these tunes evoke different emotions in different people and so my theme for today would be "emotions". The 70's had some great song that evoked emotions and I'd be focusing mostly on folk songs

Anne Murray- Killing Me Softly With His Song (1972).

I didn't know about this song up until three month ago. This song was introduced to me by the dearest @kingsleyy and ever since then, I've listened to it everyday.

The song talks about how two people make a connection through music. It's quite relatable as there has been a few times when I had a musical connection with certain people.

There is something about Anne's voice that just makes me love the song even more. The emotion here is affection.

John Denver-Country Road Take Me Home(1971)

This masterpiece by John Denver can pose as a country music too but it's mostly folk. The first time I came across the song was from the movie "the golden circle" few years back. It was a remixed version I heard but it still drove me to shed a tear. Just one tear:). It is indeed my favorite of the trio.

There is so much "passion" in this song. The song is a lighthearted song which emphasis on the fact that there's no place like home. This is one song from the 70's that I could listen to all day long.

Jame Taylor -Fire and rain(1970)

I came across fire and rain about two weeks ago and with the way it has been raining incessantly over here, I thought, why not?

There are three verses in this song and the three verses all portray different emotions. The first is pain, the second is addiction and the third talks about liberation.

A lot of people go through trying times, battle with darkness and they emerge victorious. Like they say "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger". This saying is perfectly portrayed in this song.

I hope you liked my tunes for this week. I'd love to listen to your tunes too if you do not mind sharing them. Which was you favourite tune.?

None of the videos used belong to me. They were all taken from YouTube.

With love, wongi ✨.

OMG!
Wongi, you're killing me softly with the song.
Please go and rehearse it... you're gonna sing it one day🥳

That's one of the best songs I discovered the year 💯

I listened to the last one. It's a very good song for one with so little verses. And yes, it does bring out emotions, unfortunately.
