Phone Photography|| Trash To Treasure.

A few years back, I read a book that completely changed my perspective as to what I consider as trash. In this book, a little girl of about four years old was gardening with her mother when she came across a really beautiful weed.

Her mother immediately told the child to move away from where she was squatting because she was in the midst of weeds. The young girl who thought that the weed looked really beautiful and alluring asked her mother “what are the criteria for a plant to be classified as a weed?” And at that point, the mother didn't have a definite answer. Simply put, the girl was able to see beauty in one of the most unconventional things.

This scene from the book didn't just change how I viewed weeds and grasses but it also gave me a new look at life.

Over the years, I've learned to always find the beauty in the most ugly of things and this act alone has cultivated other attributes like meticulous evaluation of things, proper verification and above all, patience in me.

This leads me to the images for today. I have a little garden at home and from time to time, I visit this garden to water the plants and generally see how the plants are doing. This week however, I found a little surprise when I visited the garden.

Right beside the Jathropha Tanjorensis(hospital too far) plants were these lovely looking flowers. The flowers were just so alluring and then a thought came to mind. In a normal situation, these flowers would be classified as trash and even if it isn't classified as trash, it may be easily overlooked because of how fragile it appeared to be.

However, I think I noticed these hidden treasures because like I mentioned earlier, I'm always on the lookout for treasures, even in the most unexpected places.

I took a few pictures of the flowers and the fact that the pictures came out looking so good was just exciting. Maybe, just maybe, I have a calling in photography.

What do you think of the images?

I do not think so. Maybe you just do not know about the plant.

I'm sure you knew what you were doing.🙂

Just following instructions 😌🌝

Isn't that so positive?

Did I perhaps over-estimate?

Many times, without knowing ourselves, we categorize certain things as good or bad just because people say so. Then at some point somewhere a simple 'why' makes us think that we really don't have any reason.
Whether something is beautiful or ugly is determined by the thinking of the person looking at it. I also love the ignored flowers that usually grows randomly in grass and bushes on the roadside. :) Beautiful Blog!
