Micro Moments of Delight.
After I put so many aspects of my life on hold for months and felt a deep sense of guilt whenever I deviated even a tiny bit from what I needed to do, I finally did what I ‘wanted’ to do this week and this didn't just make my week feel lighter, it also made my previous actions all worth it.

The last time I remember reading a book out of sheer freewill was over eight weeks ago. During the period proceeding the eight weeks, I read books quite alright but they were all related to maternity; every single thing one could possibly know about a woman right from when she is born to menopause and even beyond.

At some point, it felt like the more I read, the less smarter I felt because there ~was~ is always room to discover something new about women. However, I scaled through and have become a board certified midwife and a registered nurse too. Drumrolls please.
However, the very first thing I did, after dealing with adrenaline withdrawal and resting up adequately, was run over to my e-library to admire my “to-read” collection and probably indulge while at it. It turns out there was a book I was actively reading but had put an abrupt halt to because my priorities had to be set straight.
Luckily, I hadn't gone far into the read so I went back to the beginning just to get a better understanding of the plot. Of course I didn't finish reading the book in one sitting and quite frankly, I'm still reading the book but this little act of reading something different after such a long time made my week feel so light.

The novel “Patience is a Subtle Thief” is my current read. The book has an interesting twist to it because the protagonist's name is Patience. Does this mean the protagonist is a subtle thief? Or is the title just a distraction? Every page brings me closer to discovering the answer for myself and I hope this book doesn't fling me into a reading slump on its completion.
I can't fail to mention how enlivening reading the book has felt because it has somehow reignited my curiosity in ways I couldn't imagine and might I add that this is just what I needed.
