This post shines a spotlight on an incredible client who truly made my Valentine's Day unforgettable.

Towards the end of January, I got the grand idea to curate crochet gift boxes for both males and females for Valentine's day. The idea behind this was that people could get their loved ones a variety of beautiful crochet items all in one box.

Seeing that I had a major examination coming up, I decided to limit the number of slots to ten. The females had five slots and males had five slots too. I ended up getting about five crochet orders in total, three slots for females and two slots for males.

I discussed the idea with a few friends who thought the idea was a spectacular one and with their help, I was able to set things in motion.

First, a flier stating what we were offering was made and soon after, I went to the market to purchase some items I would need to make the packages. Need I say this was a trying experience for me? Nonetheless, I learnt new things and met with some amazing people during this period.

One of the amazing people I met this period was a client who a package was ordered for. On Valentine's day, I was out delivering packages and this particular lady happened to be around my vicinity so I happily went to deliver her own package. I just loved how bright her smile was after she received her package.

One silly mistake I made while packing her gift box was that I forgot to add a tag which has all my social media handles but when people truly want to reach out to you, they would go to the extremes.

I have a business page on Instagram which hasn't really been active. On the 15th of February, I got a message request from someone and wondered who the person was. I immediately went to my Instagram page, wiped off the cobwebs and did some digging. It was the lady I personally delivered a package to the previous day.

She came to say that she liked the package and had made a couple of videos which she wanted to send to me. I was completely taken aback.
This stranger who I only met for the first time the previous day had already gone through her crochet items and made loads of videos while at it.

I happily agreed to getting the videos and she sent all of them for me. Might I add that these videos weren't just random videos. They were professional edited videos with voiceovers. I can't begin to quantify the amount of joy I felt in that moment.

We got talking some more and she gave me a very long lovey dovey backstory which I'm not going to go into but the song “so this is love” kept ringing through my mind while she narrated her side of the story.

I just love how passionate some clients get about giving me reviews or congratulating me for the well crafted pieces. It sincerely thrills my heart.

This year's Valentine's Day not only gave me an adorable client but a well wisher who keeps rooting for me and my business. What more could I ask for?

El día de San Valentín, estaba repartiendo paquetes y esta señora en concreto se encontraba cerca de donde yo estaba, así que fui encantada a entregarle su paquete. Me encantó lo radiante que era su sonrisa después de recibirlo.

Un pequeño error que cometí al empaquetar su caja de regalo fue que olvidé añadir una etiqueta con todos mis perfiles en redes sociales, pero cuando la gente realmente quiere ponerse en contacto contigo, es capaz de llegar a lo más lejos.

Tengo una página de empresa en Instagram que no ha estado muy activa. El 15 de febrero, recibí una solicitud de mensaje de alguien y me pregunté quién sería. Inmediatamente fui a mi página de Instagram, le quité el polvo y investigué un poco. Era la señora a la que le había entregado personalmente un paquete el día anterior.
