All The Money In The World.

The universe always finds a way to maintain balance, ensuring the scale never tips too far in any direction. This simple principle holds true in every area of life, whether it's finances, health and well-being, economics or social connections.

Simply put, life is transactional.

For everything we receive, we give something in return and vice versa. Sometimes, this exchange is immediate, other times, it unfolds over a longer period. But make no mistake, there is always a transaction happening.

To respond to this week's prompt:

How much money do you actually need to stop worrying about finances and live freely?

I believe that money alone doesn't determine how freely someone lives. You can have all the wealth in the world and still feel anxious about your financial security. Meanwhile, someone who is barely getting by may be living their best life, fully embracing freedom. This is why minimalism is one of the concepts I hold close to my heart.

Let me share a story about my maternal grandmother, a woman who I was greatly inspired by as a child.

My grandmother, bless her soul, was the embodiment of humility combined with wisdom. She achieved feats within her community that many, including the traditional men at the time, could hardly imagine.

She didn't just earn money by meeting people's immediate needs, she also knew exactly when to invest and when to spend. No one around her lacked anything necessary for their livelihood. This savvy balance put her at the top of her game.

Yet, despite her remarkable financial success, money was never her driving motivation. She mentioned that her true joy came from the happiness and fulfilment she found in her work. While money was very much welcome, it never dictated her passion or the amount of love she poured into everything she did. From her and my mother, I learned that living freely is ultimately a personal choice.

There are tribes untouched by the modern concept of money who live unburdened and free. Let me bring it home. There are even people in our communities who live freely and happily, despite not being the wealthiest. They understand that financial wealth does not equal freedom.

Money is undeniably a valuable resource, but if we look beyond the surface, we would see that true freedom cannot be measured by pounds or dollars alone. It comes from how we choose to live; our values, our mindset, and the joy we cultivate regardless of our financial situation

In the end, freedom is less about how much we have and more about our choices.

This is so true. I've seen and heard stories of people who didn't have the best of life they desired after becoming wealthy. They even worried more about sustaining the wealth that they forgot to live.

I like your idea of minimalism, to feel free or not depends strongly on your own attitude, but at the same time I think that money can give you freedom in a way that for example you are not forced to accept any bad work just to survive. You will have more choices if you have enough money, which also means more freedom.

I agree with you Gen. This is why I mentioned that money is important but money alone doesn't determine freedom.
