Banks, the monopoly of the capitalist world.
In an increasingly technologically globalized world (although this is not yet the reality in many countries), I am still negatively impressed by the fact that millions of people still see banks as a kind of "safe haven" in their lives. At least that is the reality I see happening in Brazil, where the (more generalized) economy is still strongly connected to traditional finance, and represented by banks.
Unfortunately, WEB 3.0 is still a very distant concept for many Brazilians. This ends up causing many of them to be "cut off" from a reality that is experiencing a very prominent rise: the crypto economy in the modern era. The so-called digital assets still sound like Greek to a large part of society, which has never even heard of blockchain technology or cryptocurrencies (just to mention two examples).
Within this segment, banks are a more than obvious translation of the orthodox monopoly that was "fueled" (and still is) by a capitalist system that is still tied to the past. The conventional financial system is still seen as something very safe (and indeed it is), but at the same time, it is also seen as a limited investment option when compared to everything that is happening outside of its own sphere of control.
I understand the sense of security that millions of Brazilians feel when keeping their savings in banks, without making any kind of bet on investments that orbit outside this "planet", but the fact is that banks tend to turn this loyalty into a "lifelong contract" (as if all the low investment returns they offer were capable of justifying all the security that a financial institution like this can bring to everyone).
The fact is that the "traditional economic culture" is still extremely widespread in a country that is not yet very well educated (financially speaking). Even the most basic concepts about investments outside the more conservative "food chain" are still unknown. This ends up strengthening any monopoly created within modern capitalism, which is still controlled by banks with their increasingly power-hungry "tentacles".
En un mundo cada vez más globalizado tecnológicamente (aunque esto aún no es una realidad en muchos países), me sigue impresionando negativamente que millones de personas sigan viendo a los bancos como una especie de “refugio seguro” en sus vidas. Al menos esa es la realidad que veo en Brasil, donde la economía (más generalizada) todavía está fuertemente ligada a las finanzas tradicionales y representada por los bancos.

Dentro de este segmento, los bancos son una traducción más que evidente del monopolio ortodoxo que fue "impulsado" (y aún lo es) por un sistema capitalista aún anclado en el pasado. El sistema financiero convencional aún se considera muy seguro (y de hecho lo es), pero, al mismo tiempo, también se percibe como una opción de inversión limitada en comparación con todo lo que ocurre fuera de su ámbito de control.
Entiendo la sensación de seguridad que millones de brasileños sienten al mantener sus ahorros en los bancos, sin hacer ningún tipo de apuesta en inversiones que orbitan fuera de este "planeta", pero el hecho es que los bancos tienden a convertir esta lealtad en un "contrato de por vida" (como si todos los bajos retornos de inversión que ofrecen fueran capaces de justificar toda la seguridad que una institución financiera como ésta puede brindar a todos).
El hecho es que la "cultura económica tradicional" sigue estando muy extendida en un país con poca educación financiera. Incluso los conceptos más básicos sobre inversiones fuera de la "cadena alimentaria" más conservadora aún se desconocen. Esto termina fortaleciendo cualquier monopolio creado dentro del capitalismo moderno, que aún está controlado por los bancos con sus "tentáculos" cada vez más ávidos de poder.

Os bancos, dentro desse segmento, são uma tradução mais do que óbvia do monopólio ortodoxo que foi “alimentado” (e ainda vem sendo) por um sistema capitalista que ainda está amarrado ao passado. O sistema financeiro convencional ainda é visto como algo muito seguro (e de fato, é), mas ao mesmo tempo, também é visto como uma opção reduzida de investimentos quando comparado a tudo o que está acontecendo fora do que está na sua própria zona de controle.
Eu entendo o sentimento de segurança que milhões de brasileiros sentem ao manter suas economias nos bancos, sem fazer qualquer tipo de aposta em investimentos que orbitam fora desse “planeta”, mas o fato é que os bancos tendem a fazer dessa fidelidade um “contrato vitalício” (como se todos os rendimentos baixos de investimentos oferecidos por eles fossem capazes de justificar toda essa segurança que uma instituição financeira como esta pode trazer para todos).
O fato é que a “cultura da economia tradicional” ainda é extremamente difusa em um país que ainda não é muito bem educado (financeiramente falando). Até mesmo conceitos mais básicos sobre investimentos fora da “cadeia alimentar” mais conservadora ainda são desconhecidos. Isso acaba então fortalecendo todo monopólio criado pelo dentro de um capitalismo moderno, que ainda é controlado pelos bancos com os seus “tentáculos” cada vez mais famintos por poder.

I was recently in Venezuela and let me tell you, the economic situation has led many to seek other options, including the adoption of cryptocurrencies. That's the positive aspect I saw.
I was surprised, but it's due to inflation and the fact that it was better to have a stable cryptocurrency like USDT or HBD as a safe haven. We're on the right track, although there's still a lot of cryptocurrency education to be done.
It's sad to see that many people, sometimes, have to learn about this in such a difficult way.
The good news is that once they learn, they never forget, and they can also inspire others to do the same.
Greetings friend, I think much of this is due to a lack of knowledge; there's no culture of it.
Many of the people I know, lacking knowledge about cryptocurrencies, believe it's a scam. It's hard work talking to them and educating them. But I think that in time, the future will involve a different approach to traditional banking.
