IT'S LEO POWER UP DAY (LPUD)

Yeah, Happy Leo Power Up Day (LPUD). 🦁

Here comes the first LEO Power Up Day for the year and since I am taking part in it, it means I won't be missing any month this year. Sounds cool.

You may be wondering what LPUD is all about. In this blog post, I will share what it is about and how you can take part next month, February.

LPUD may be new to you if you are a Hive newbie and Hiver who may not be active on INLEO frontend. So just like HPUD- Hive Power Up Day which takes place every 1st day of the month, where Hivers stake or power up some liquid Hive to strengthen their account and increase the vote value,...

LPUD takes place every 15th day of the month where the INLEO community members or Lions as we call ourselves, take part in staking some liquid LEO to grow and strengthen our accounts and support the community with our upvotes and level up in Leo rank. By doing so, we contribute to the long-term of the INLEO project.

Before we dive into my LPUD for January and how you can take part next month, I will like to let you know the two types of powering up liquid LEO.

• Cub Attack: This means powering up at least 50 $LEO.
• Lion Attack: This means powering up 150 $LEO and above. As the name "Lion attack", you need to stake a bigger amount of LEO.

Let's dive into how you can power up through the INLEO frontend.

My Leo Power Up For January

Initially, I wanted to power up some Leo tokens using the Hive KeyChain App but it was having issues, probably undergoing some maintenance. I had to use the INLEO frontend which I had to sign out to sign in using both my posting and active keys for a seamless transaction.

Now that I'm logged in, I clicked on my wallet in the image below.

From my wallet dashboard, I clicked on the upward arrow sign which indicates "power up" to power up some liquid LEO.

The next image popped up where I put the amount of LEO to power up and so because I am doing the Lion attack, I powered up 150 $LEO.

You can see the image below shows a successful transaction which occurred in about 3 seconds.

Now my LEO power (LP) has increased to 2,568.77 LP. I will be set for the next LEO power up day soon. I like to take part in the LPUD because it makes me feel part of the community as it's the only day in a month we get to take part in an activity as a community.

Now you know about LPUD and how you can take part next month, so in order to earn some liquid LEO, you need to be active on threads and publish your blog posts through the INLEO frontend.
