El Mar en Cuatro Estaciones - The Sea in Four Seasons

avatar

5.jpg

Si te caes, te sacudes y te vuelves a levantar.

6.jpg

Hello friends of Pinmapple,
Today I wanted to talk a little about the Valparaíso Coast in Chile, I had the opportunity to live for a year and a half in Chile, specifically between Valparaíso and Viña del Mar and without a doubt it is one of my favorite places that I I would like to return when the Pandemic passes. A peculiarity of the Chilean coast is that the sea is always cold, even in summer, where the temperature of the water will surely not exceed 14 degrees Celsius on the hottest day, which in Valparaiso the hottest day of the year can be 27 or 28 degrees. This thanks to the Humboldt current that carries frozen water from Antarctica along the entire Chilean coast.

1.jpg

In spring you can see people riding sailboats, kayaking, among other activities related to the Sea, always sunny but cool.

2.jpg

On summer days tourists from all over the world come to enjoy the cool summer breeze. Another curious fact is that the hole in the ozone layer in recent years had been shrinking, however you still have to protect yourself and use a lot of sunscreen.

3.jpg

In the summer you can visit the Concón Dunes, rent a board and practice Sandboarding (you can do it all year round but summer is more convenient)

4.jpg

Renting the boards is super cheap and you return them when you leave the dunes.

5.jpg

If you fall, you shake off and get back up.

6.jpg

In autumn the days are always cloudy, they are cold and gray, even so, if you go to the sea you breathe peace, I liked to go by bicycle to work to walk along the coast or watch the crash of the waves.

7.jpg

Beautiful views along the entire coast.

8.jpg

In winter the days are short, even if the sun rises it doesn't get very hot, at 5:00 pm you can already see the sunset.

9.jpg

Even on cold winter days some plants can flourish.
