Time

Something I was thinking about while taking these photos—because part of these journeys is that you find a point to reflect on many things—was the idea of time and age as an illusion. Well, that's how I tend to see it. Although, of course, humanity has always had to abide by schedules and the simple fact of knowing everything about the time of something or someone, it's all a way to maintain order and everything that is established as a society, like a job with a schedule or knowing your age for certain things.

But it's not really about that, but rather something a bit more philosophical, the fact that you have your own pace and it doesn't have to be about how things are happening. It's about distancing yourself from that stress that many of us carry, like when you say, "Hey, I'm getting old and therefore I can't do certain things anymore." But as I see it, they are just limitations. We create barriers as time goes by, but in reality, we are the same. I think we can continue with the same vitality to continue this life.

That's the vitality I feel when I go out to take these photographs, between long walks through the city, sometimes through the city's forests, and other places. I feel the same energy and excitement I had when I was 15, exploring the mountains and forests where I used to live, but without feeling like a slave to time.
