Scenes in visual contrast

I generally have a dilemma regarding natural lighting in photography, since I primarily use sunlight, especially the intense sun during those sweltering days. On the other hand, I don't particularly like the tropical climate we have in Venezuela. As you may know, we don't have four seasons here; we only have a rainy season with heavy rainfall and a summer season where the heat reaches its peak. But in general, it can be very hot and sunny year-round, except for days with heavy rain.

Although there are regions in Venezuela where temperatures are cooler, or even cooler, during midday and evenings, these areas are few and far between. I usually travel to cities that are hotter. Sometimes I wish for a more pleasant climate where I could go outside and enjoy long walks. However, it's not all bad, because I take advantage of the intense sunlight for my photographs, so my photos are mostly taken during the day.

It's not that I can't take photos at night or on cloudier days, but I don't particularly like the intensity of the light within the frame. I prefer to capture strong contrasts, vibrant colors, and that aspect of the scene where there's more texture thanks to the sunlight. That's my opinion, and that's why I'm sharing these photos from today, among a variety of subjects.

All photos are my own work.
