On this day... - Monomad Challenge

Today was actually a bit of a busy day, because my wife and I had to go get our little cat Pepito neutered. He's already started going into heat, and one of my cats isn't spayed. The truth is, we can't have any more cats, and it's also difficult to find people who want to adopt cats; they generally prefer dogs. In my country, many people have a negative perception of cats. But anyway, despite all that, I managed to take some photos near the veterinary clinic, so I wouldn't waste the day posting pictures.

Most of these photos were taken in an area of the city known as Los Olivos, perhaps one of the largest and oldest neighborhoods in Puerto Ordaz. It reminds me of when my aunt lived in this same area, in a very large house on a whole corner. She later moved to an apartment because it became more difficult to maintain the house, but the good memories remain.

In short, this series is a bit of everything, from those details I found around the place, where I sought to create the right contrast, carefully considered for the black and white photography, on a perfect day for shadows. In the end, we were able to get through my cat's surgery successfully, although we were very tired by the end of the day.

All photographs are my own.
