Music and photography

It's been a long time since I've taken these kinds of photos, specifically of music events like this one. Well, it's not really my forte, but sometimes you have to do it to further develop your photography skills in this area, because it's very different from street photography, due to many reasons, whether it's the lighting, the scene, or the way the musicians perform on stage. These are great subjects and models for these compositions.

It all started because my wife joined a choir a little over 20 days ago, and last Friday they organized a fundraising event to support the choir. A band called The Beatrex, a Beatles tribute band, performed, and it was a fantastic show where they covered almost all of the Liverpool quartet's hits.

Well, my wife asked me to help take photos of the event, and of course I didn't miss the opportunity. Although for this type of photography, many aspects must be considered, such as the lighting, which in this case was at night, as well as whether there was a good source of artificial light. The artificial light was very dim, so it wasn't a good idea to work without a flash. Consequently, I decided to take these photos with the camera's built-in flash. Although I have an external flash, I didn't want to use it because the batteries ran out very quickly. But all in all, I managed to take a few photos of an event that had its own power, its own magic, like the music and the entire legacy of The Beatles in this world a passion that unites us all.

All photographs are my own.
