In vertical format - Monomad Challenge

I've never been particularly interested in taking photos in a vertical format, but on the other hand, I've always thought that there are scenes or subjects that naturally look better in a vertical format, because their focus and shape direct the image in such a way that it has a more harmonious vertical orientation. For this reason, I present six photographs in vertical format. These aren't just subjects, such as a tall building, which is more suited to this format, but also certain elements or things that also look good in this format, such as statues, antennas, or even the facade of a house.

Now, as we see in these photographs, the focal point is obviously in some cases details, but also the subject itself. We don't need the surroundings or a background to generate greater depth of field. Unlike, say, a landscape, where the horizontal format is perfect, and vertical format isn't suitable because it detracts from its surroundings as part of the scenes themselves. Therefore, I always think that the formats in photography should be adapted according to the subject and the environment you want to photograph, as well as the focus you want to give to that image.
