In the open air

Today, Thursday, in the middle of Holy Week, it started raining very heavily for a few hours early in the day. I thought I wouldn't be going out to take photos. But a little after 4 p.m., the rain stopped, and a little bit of sun was starting to come out. Although the sun wasn't as strong as I usually like, there were still a few clouds. I still went out for a bit to take some photos. On a day when there are usually no activities in the city due to the week's festivities, people still go out for some activities. People don't like being cooped up at home for so long. In my case, there are days when I prefer to stay at home and not go out at all, but suddenly there are times when I want to go for long walks.

I didn't go out for much of a walk this afternoon. I just wanted to be more specific about taking some photos of what I might find on the street. As you can see, the subjects are mostly people, whether they're children playing or a man taking his dog for a walk. There are also some scenes where you can see some small birds, as well as a small dog waiting for its human friend.

On the other hand, for a few days now, I've been planning to go to an island located between some of the area's rivers, but due to rain, it couldn't be done. So, I wanted to postpone it until tomorrow, perhaps while the weather is favorable. If not, then I'll consider some ideas for taking photographs in contrast to the rain, despite the poor lighting on rainy days.

These compositions feature a touch of those vibrant colors and contrasts of the different scenes found in black and white, where each exposure has its own harmony and shapes, reflecting what I wanted to portray: a rainy Thursday, but with a calm afternoon ending and a bustle of street life.
