Without a doubt, every time I go to La Llovizna Park, located in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela, I'm constantly impressed by the power of its waterfalls, as we can see in these photographs. Especially during the rainy season, when the Caroní River's waters rise considerably. From some of the park's viewpoints, we can see how the water sprays us as it falls. It's so much so that you can be completely drenched in water in a matter of minutes. However, on this occasion, I didn't want to do that because I was worried about my camera. It's a unique experience, something so simple and wonderful when visiting this beautiful park.

I think I've lost count of all the times I've visited this park. I've known it since I was very young, but lately I've made it my mission to explore every corner, and of course, I always make a stop at the large waterfalls. Although there are many larger waterfalls, such as Angel Falls, which is located in the same state but in another town. It's considered the tallest waterfall in the world. I believe it reaches almost 1 kilometer in length. However, La Llovizna waterfall is a huge draw for the city, for the very reason that it's located right in the city. Typically, many large waterfalls around the world are located very far from nearby towns, as is Angel Falls, where you have to venture deep into the jungle.

When I share these photographs, beyond the viewers' appreciation, it's also the idea that they might be encouraged to visit these places at some point, not only for other people from other states but also from other countries. Having the privilege of having a natural environment like this so close to where I live is absolutely wonderful. I can even walk there, although I haven't been to the park for a while because the intense heat makes this journey difficult. I have to cross the entire Macagua Dam to reach the park. During that stretch, the humidity is very high, feeling like it's over 40 degrees, perhaps due to the amount of water from the dam. All the asphalt and stones in the area make everything extremely hot, but in the end, it's all worth it to appreciate all these wonders.

All photographs are mine.
