Eternal streets...
I once again visited Ciudad Bolívar, Bolívar State, Venezuela, but this time my wife went to explore these corners of the city, specifically its historic center and other places of utmost importance to the city. Although I've always said that I've never really liked this city, certain parts have a magic of their own and are perfect for taking photos, especially as the photographs show, the historic center of the city, located in the highest parts of the area, where you can appreciate the architecture of old houses where many people still live. Some retain their beautiful facades, while others have fallen into decay over the years, but they are still beautiful due to their historical imprint.
Although it was a very rainy day, it didn't stop us from wandering these endless streets, and my wife was amazed by the place, even saying she would like to live in some of these houses. It's like old paintings captured in this real world. It's the great architectural heritage that still prevails in this city, and I truly hope it endures forever. That's why it's always important that these places be properly maintained; otherwise, time can wear them down, and as is the case with many of these houses, which are in total ruin, many of those who live here try to take care of their greatest treasure: their homes. It can also be difficult because of the expense of maintenance, so they have to resort to government assistance.
For the photographic eye, what captures these streets and houses most are their facades, their colors, contrasts, and shapes before the camera lens. This type of house is more attractive for photographic composition than, say, modern or even large houses. At least that's what attracts me to this place, aside from the magnificent view of the Orinoco River and its large Angostura Bridge, which always reminds me of the San Francisco Bridge for its similar architectural style.
All photographs are my own.

Great Place, great Street Shots

The houses in the first photograph are very similar to those in a village near where I live; they are almost identical. I like the way they are painted. Best regards.
Beautiful colors 😍
