Circumstantial day - Monomad Challenge

An endless afternoon, yet a whole universe of circumstances—that's the street, simple yet complex at the same time. I see it that way every time I go out to take photographs, and today was no exception. At the start of the weekend, a Friday that dawned with hints of rain but ended with intense sunshine, I took the opportunity to wander through some corners of the city, observing certain events while simultaneously capturing what I was seeing.

For example, to illustrate what can happen in this city, beyond the aesthetics of the image, I found some children in a plaza—three, to be exact, one younger than the other. We can see they are homeless, yet they look so happy playing there, as if it were their own room, even though it's a public space. It's undoubtedly lamentable that this continues to happen. I wanted to think that the children's mother was a woman begging nearby, or perhaps their grandmother, but these are the kinds of circumstances I encounter on this endless street.

With this, I'm showing a bit of social commentary on what's happening, something we perhaps ignore because it doesn't affect us personally. But also, the agencies responsible for addressing this problem are aware of these situations, yet they never do anything. Well, it's always like that. The other photographs show a bit of the daily life of people on the street.

All photographs are my own work.

I really like today's suggestion; the topic of children on the street is a sensitive one, and you've addressed it very well, from the commentary to the photograph. This image is my favorite.

Hey, I wasn't going to take that picture at the time, maybe because I was in a bit of a hurry, but then I said I have to do it because otherwise I'll regret it.
I loved it, excellent picture my friend.
Siluetas y sombras de una realidad que nos golpea... ¡Bravo!
