Beyond The Looking Glass is the second book in the Unseen series, a story that came to me from the other side. A story where I thought I was just the narrator until I heard the Words of the Unseen.
This second story goes beyond time and place and mixes the long ago with the here and now. Because history keeps repeating, until we learn and do something about it.

Beyond The Looking Glass - Words of the Unseen - Chapter 102

Knowing that "every little thing is gonna be alright" is really cool, especially when you have three months to find and move into a new house while still struggling with the trauma of actually being homeless.
I guess the good thing was that Yallenix and I never planned to stay in this apartment all our lives, but this push came way too soon. Or maybe we were getting too comfortable here.
Sure, we had plans, and we were trying to align those. Yallenix wanted to eventually move to a real house and so did I, but lately I was getting these... what should I call them?
Premonitions?
I wasnยดt sure what they were, but something pushed me to think about buying something I could exploit. A bed and breakfast, or something. Maybe I just missed my life at the Cortijo after these years in the city working a so-called ยดreal job.ยด
And it was not very clear I just feel like a peaceful place in nature. That was about it, but Yallenix did not like the idea of being far from your neighbours, surrounded by creepy crawlers; she preferred the city and a normal house.
For now, both ideas were on hold, because I probably would need all the savings to find us a new place. We checked the websites, but nothing really felt like our place to rent. That is why I already planned on a temporary place just for the time being and then my dad called.
The a friend of a friend thing...well, a son of their friends. A guy a little older than I am with whom I can remember playing once... a lifetime ago.
Dad gave him my number and he called; how weird that sometimes when you need them the most, people show up uninvited.
How strange that if you help others throughout your life, it will never be those people who will be there for you in your time of need. But there will be someone you never saw coming.
How weirdly wonderful is that circle of life I realized after hanging up with this guy called Jan-Willem.
Things happen for a reason.
This letter, this selling of our safe place. Of course it was not needed for the company that owned it.
It was needed for me.
The closing of this door opened a world of opportunity and slowly, I was starting to recognize these moments.
Well, that, plus that Jan-Willem had made it sound reasonable to buy something instead of renting.
Something I never thought I would do, or even be able to do. But Jan-Willem had bought several pieces of real estate in Spain, and according to his calculations, the break-even point would be around two years.
In two years the cost of buying would outweigh the money you throw away while renting.
This was insane, I was just getting into understanding my own finances and generating a little wealth, and now someone suggests I buy an apartment?
I just paid off my debt, well, most of it.
I finally had a little buffer, should I really risk that buffer?
Could I, only having one income, really afford to buy an apartment already? I came from having nothing, having less than nothing, and now this?
This moving stuff really kept me awake.
How would I get the dog to the new place?
Would the moving van guys also move a dog?
What if we did not like the new neighborhood?
Would we move again in two years? Or less, and pay for everything again.
I really did not want to think about that, this community had everything we needed.
And then I woke up, it had all been a bad dream. I did not need to move, I did not need to get a van that would also move my old dog, and I did not have to leave this community.
Not quite, but almost.
The answer as always, was staring me in the face, and I was looking past it left and right.
These guys from whom I was renting owned a couple of apartments, or maybe even more than a few. Back in the day, they had bought all the available ones in this building ones in a bulk transaction.
And right now, I needed to leave mine because they were selling.
They were selling!!!
