From Promo Room To Romantic Buffet: Our Valentine's Experience At San Remigio Beach Club

San Remigio is known for its long coast, since it contains the longest shoreline on the island of Cebu, but aside from it, it is home to many beach resorts in different styles and atmospheres, influenced by local and international designs. In Anapog, a barangay in San Remigio, Cebu, there is a beach resort known as San Remigio Beach Club. Learn more about this resort through this blog.
ALL ABOUT SAN REMIGIO BEACH CLUB
Let's see what their resort's website tells interested tourists and visitors:

San Remigio Beach Club opened in May 2002. In our almost two decades of operation, the 5.5-hectare resort has offered its guests a different day, every day. With the town’s famous longest coastline in the province on one side and the bucolic countryside on the other, the resort gives a glimpse of local life and an authentic Cebuano experience. We have both a pool and a private sandy beach, perfect for couples, families, and friends. Our dining options source fresh and quality products in this town combined with an international culinary touch, and every meal promises something exciting or the chance to revisit familiar favorites.
So, this 5.5-hectare resort is really a must-visit resort in San Remigio. This Valentine's Day, they offered promos on room accommodations and food, and occasions like this mean the resort offers many promos that will surely capture the attention of tourists from time to time. We had our Superior Room for one night paid at 1,900 pesos instead of 4,000 pesos, and our dinner buffet was charged at 450.00 pesos per person. It was really a good offer, so we took the chance not to make our wallets dry after the celebration, which could have happened if there were no promos.
WELCOME TO OUR ROOM

Our room is good for 4 pax, but we chose this one so we could have two beds—one for sleeping and one for recreational activities. The room has a comfort room with hot and cold showers, a cabinet for belongings, a breakfast table, two beds, and a television. It is also air-conditioned for a more comfortable stay. We were hoping they had a mini-refrigerator and steamer, but I guess they have those in more elegant rooms other than ours. The outside of our room overlooks the team-building amenities of the resort such as zipline riding and maze running. It is also green, and in the early morning, the whole ambiance is so cozy and warm. The greens and the breeze outside, while sitting on the couch, made our morning joyous and alive while talking about random topics we came up with.
RESTAURANT

We had our Valentine's dinner at their restaurant, and we paid 900 pesos for the two of us to get tickets for the buffet dinner. When we arrived, a live acoustic performance was taking place, and the woman singing had the right choice of songs that made our dinner romantic. We were the third ones who arrived at 5 in the afternoon and started to get our food from the crew. The whole restaurant was so elegant and romantic. All tables were set up correctly and perfectly, and the sound from the acoustic made our dinner even more alive and lovely. They also offered drinks such as Sex on the Beach and Margarita, but we didn't take one because we just wanted to eat dinner. The designs and lights inside the restaurant were so cozy, and their staff were so welcoming and accommodating. There was one thing that disappointed us: we couldn't get food twice, only once, which didn't justify our 900 pesos payment. But we were already full after the first serving; it was just that I wanted to get another plate of garlic scallops but wasn't able to. Lol. Lovers, friends, and families were present, and all tables were labeled accordingly.
At breakfast, we also had our time in their restaurant to eat, and few people were there compared to dinner. Maybe because it was the earliest part of the morning and everyone was still asleep from last night's activities. They have plenty of food here that is worth the price, and I loved eating our orders, especially the chicken sandwich and chopsuey that made us full in the morning. Prices vary from 150–800 pesos, served in platters or regular portions.
BEACH

While the resort has a pool inside, they still have their shore open for visitors, which is a good decision despite setbacks faced on the coast. The weather in this part of San Remigio is not good so often, so the beach is sometimes not inviting and dull. We spent our time the morning after Valentine's talking on the sand and just feeling everything that happened yesterday. The blue water is spectacular, and the horizon looks so calming. The breeze was perfectly blowing while we tried to lay down on the sand and benches. There were a few people other than us on the shore who were also talking and laughing, making use of the joy this resort carries. They have a green landscape near the sand where visitors can stay because of its aesthetically and naturally pleasing atmosphere. Benches and tables are placed above the sand where visitors can stand by while experiencing one of the best seaside offers in our town. Various kinds of trees add to the greenery of the landscape, and the weather was just hitting so fine for a while in the morning.
They also have this square above the sand called Bahia Vista where unique benches are situated. Bamboo trees and plants are placed inside that have the natural purpose of establishing a unique seaside experience with some touch of nature therapy. Old jars are also seen at the center, placed in a small water circle. This Bahia Vista is located beside their restaurant building, so after breakfast or dinner, one can go here for relaxing times or a stroll. It is evident in the photos how much the resort values nature as part of the landscape, and trees are healthy and alive without being disturbed by the resort operation.
FRONT DESK

I know the front desk is just a simple spot in a resort compared to other perfect spots, but this one is so interesting and peaceful. They have woven synthetic rattan outdoor furniture outside placed under pine trees, with different shapes and so comfortable to use if you want a warm, peaceful loneliness at daytime. At the front desk, staff accommodate visitors and process their requests and payments so they can avail the resort's offers. I am not a fan of front desks, but this one just looks so vibrant, you would want to sit here all day. Some also wait here before their check-in time comes. You can inquire about their food and amenities and process payments right at this spot.

For now, that is all about the resort’s featured places. There are still many corners in this 5.5-hectare resort I will share in my next blog which deserve attention from readers. I will share with you in the next part the different amenities, it's wide pool, its gardens, and travel locations to consider when heading here. There are still small details, quiet moments, and hidden spots that made our stay more meaningful than expected. This trip was not just about the place, but about the shared time, simple joys, and conversations carried by the sea breeze. And sometimes, that is what makes a getaway truly worth remembering.

Oh myyyy, it is so pretty in there. Really looks like a nice place for family, friends of the lovely couples. Gosh, you two really enjoy your time there. Even me enjoy it as I read this. I think goods na din prices especially if its minsan lang na trip going there to enjoy everything. And bat nang iinggit kayoooo. Bahay lang ako that day kapiling ang mga pusa 🫠😭😭 charrr haha. The foods looks masasarap din. But if susumahin lahat ng nagastos, nasa magkano? Natatamad ako mag calculate, lolol. Curious lang meeeee. UwU
Hello @ruffatotmeee Happy Valentine's Day. Kahit saang lugar ka man ng araw na iyon, malaya pa din na mag celebrate. Ang hands nung sayo kase mga pusa at aso kasama mo. Yung resort experience namin dito is actually hindi gaanong mahal. But in total, we spent 12k for this Valentine's Day...paminsan minsan lng din hehe.

I visited this resort back in May 2024. We had our company team-building event there. The food was good, and the staff were accommodating.
I really liked how they arranged the restaurant during Valentines.
Yes, this beach club resort is known for its perfect team building features. Hello @kellyane, may I know where you are from? It is nice meeting someone here who went to the same place as me.
