I absolutely loved this game. It is a work of art. I don't feel like it was terribly difficult but it stayed interesting and the puzzles were just tough enough to make you think a bit, especially in those garden areas that lead you to this particular boss. A great story, simply gameplay, awesome sound, it is just a perfect game and I hope they make more like this.

Yes, i was first caught by the art style of the game.
In games i always tend to use reshades if possible, and i prefer to have stark contrasts akin to style from games like Limbo, Inside, Tunic and now Death's Door.
I'm really enjoying this game and the narrative spin it's put on Reapers, Death and all. Reminds me a little of the manga Bleach.
I will be playing more indie games (the next one i'm looking into is Solar Ash and Redacted) as there's jus so much good stuffs out there, so i hope you'll stick around and support my Channel!
I love every single one of those games. I think that you and I probably have a lot in common when it comes to what we enjoy with a controller.
Yes, i am not ashamed to admit that at 35 years old...i have sort of...and please forgive me...because you said controller...reverted back to my Sony Playstation days.
I mean i've been a PC gamer since 1996...i grew up with the internet and the PS1. But theres something about sitting back on your sofa, with your hands relaxed holding a controller, playing a game on a 40" TV...kicking back your shoes...smoking a coffee and drinking a joint...fuck yeah man...
I love PC gaming, but i am more cognizant of the posture now...and sitting in a PC gamer's position for an extended period of time really is uncomfortable.
So yes i have been playing Kingdom Come Deliverance I with no maps, no UI, no nothing on a controller and it's been a blast.
Going back to games like Hades, Bastion, Transistor, Bioshock Infinite, Half Life 2, and now Death's Door, TUNIC and even Solar Ash, these indie games rock on a controller.
Which reminds me...i need to replay JOURNEY. What a badass game that is.
Now you've done it man...i gotta get to playing Zelda Wind Waker too!!!!
I'm the same way. A lot of purists say that the PC-Master race is the best and it's tough to argue with them when it comes to ASDW controls and pinpoint accuracy aiming with a mouse. Controller players don't stand a chance against keyboard/mouse users in FPS games. That's a big part of the reason why I don't play them.
I want gaming to be relaxing just like you described above. If things get too tough, I quit. There was a time in my youth that I would take the time to get better at a game but these days? Good lord the games are tough and no, I am not going to dedicate that much time to them.
I never completed Wind Waker and I regret that. I was one of those people that was pissed that they changed the graphical style and therefore shunned it.
