Swimming through life , lessons from fish life

Fishes swim, humans swim too! Not necessarily in water now but swimming through the fires of life not even water. From beginning of time we have found ourselves having to survive or pass through unnecessary difficulties that are set by others for some reason or to make a system that encompasses everyone in it. In so many ramifications of our lives we experience that and sometimes everyday. Now what am i talking about ?
Life struggles, societal pressure, work/employment situation, educational system and many more circumstances we must swim through to survive. Sometimes i ask myself if we really need to go through all that the hard way like we are always expected to but im glad that in everything we have always found a way to keep breathing, overcoming and living life successfully over the years, centuries and even ages. This survival insticts and resilient spirit of man is passed on just like culture and tradition without even teaching it.

I used this drawing of fishes to represent the journey of a man’s life under pressure because the world is PRESSURE. Just as fishes live under the surface and remain unseen by most humans they also carry silent battles under the surface of their everyday life.
Fishes encounter a whole lot of crazy experiences all through their lifetime, new predators , new climate changes and so many others that only fishes would understand but just like humans they have successfully passed on survival instincts generations after generations. The water they live in is just like humans in the society with so many expectations and challenges we must swim through with our consent or not… i say this because if some of us had a preview of earth before being born we would have gone to mars I personally would be in saturn.

Just like we can see different sizes of fishes in my drawing thats how we have different human beings in different sizes, stages of life, with different problems and goals. Just like fishes we are born into the fire of life with an innocent childhood mind and later we evolve into the sharks where we start facing our adulthood struggles and learn more maturity and wisdom for our whale age. Thats where we would finally pass down knowledge and instincts to our generations from our teachings and actions.
In the drawing if you give a close look you’d notice some plants and lines in the water, they represent all the obstacles and opportunities that we encounter in life while swimming through the fire.
Funny enough i heard that fishes have to keep moving to survive and it is very signifcant to us as human beings as well because in reality stagnation brings death. It may not be physical death but could be in other areas like financially, academically etc., so we have a lot to learn from this mere and feeble fishes to keep swimming through the fire of society and everyday life.

I love how the drawing reminds us that like fish, we all live in currents we don’t control but survival and growth come from how we move and navigate through them if not the challenges and problems of the world will get us drowned. As humans the flames within us are what push us to keep moving, to rise against tides and to find meaning even when life seems meaningless because sometimes i ask myself why we really live, to work for the system and die?
