Glad I finished a self imposed task!

Hello friends, hope you hae a wonderful weekend ahead. I think I found about the FreeCompliments society through the team and it’s nice to share my first post.
This is a drawing i made with pencils on a large cardboard paper and also first time trying to do a portrait on a full sized papaer. It was challenging at first when I was making the outline and to get it into perfect proportion so i decided to use a grid technique and it worked out perfectly even when I started shading it felt a bit easier as i know the right strokes and shade to put in a particular box, the grid technique is basically fitting your drawing paper and reference picture into equal square boxes.
I actually made the drawing at night, i enjoy thecalm and solitude especially being the only one awake, i could hear nothing but my own sounds alone , every stroke from the pencil reflected exactly as loud or silent it was.
For many reasoms i would have given up on drawing but somehow its the only thing that makes me happy without a price , i feel good each time i complete a piece and it gives me some sense of achievement that keeps me going. Many at times i don’t really hear good stuffs about my drawings because theyre not a thing in my region or its just something regular but maybe thats fine.
