GIANT OF AFRICA GIANT OF THE WORLD

(Edited)

I don’t know, i tried my best to come up with a better title but nothing else came to my mind….

So yes! Nigeria is what i called it. I bet so many would have their beautiful eyes rolling back and forth at the topic you may think its some kind of figurative twist or just a fictional phrase but its the truth. Nigeria is the Giant of Africa and even a Giant of the world at large, its real and factual but there are just so many factors that have been in place since the inception of the world, power , politics , and the struggle of world control. This post would explain to the depth of how i can and with as many current evidence to back up my narrative and not just the stats. Many at times especially this new generation of readers, we read the words for a quick grasp , glancing through the texts and not even trying to understand the letters and context of what we read. Now writing is liberal, you have freedom and freedom of diction also, that means anyone can just write something, thoughts , articles in different manners and different forms, for different purposes and different aims (outcomes) so that means you are not supposed to say yes or affirm or believe everything you read. Whyd i say that? When you read you have your conscience and intuitive intelligence filled with more information at the moment so the you settle it in your mind and balance the context try to look into everything including the style of writing so that you know from what point of view the article was written and the credibility or Plausibility , integrity , verity or rectitude of what you just read. In this post id explore natural resources , demographics , global influence, the interpolation or rewriting of history in school syllabi and the path forward so then the world would know what to do and Nigerians will decide whether to accept the narrative or ignore
Now I’d love you to please read with a plain mind not affirmative or accepting neither opposing or criticizing but rather listen to the tone and pay attention to the writing so then at the end you can let the information sit with your conscience thats the only way you can truly grab all the contents of the context before taking a side or affirming. thank you!

WHAT MAKES A COUNTRY A GIANT ?

There are so many things that makes a country fit to be called a GIANT or for them to perceived by others as a GIANT or on a general context. One of those is what ill explain in this section.

  • DEMOGRAPHICS & HUMAN RESOURCE POWER

Talking about size in both landmass and population, nigeria is about twice or thrice the size of many european countries especially geographically and now coming down to AFRICA nigeria is the UNDISPUTED(undisputable) GIANT even if other countries thrives so much and are at the peak of their economic dominance, international allignment, and whatever makes them on the spotlight right now. In Africa we already know that Naija is the most populated country with over 200 million and also is one country with one of the most youngest societies with media age and < under 18. Based on research from Africa Center for strategic studies. source

i know that’s interesting yeah? Now you know that already nigerians we have the most youthful workforce which giving the country a very huge potential in innovation, digital economy and mobile tech. Forget the fact that nigerians are black, black doesn’t mean weak, feeble, in humane, lazy or infidels but instead it makes them a people of the direct opposite an epitome of grace and resilience imagine cutting out the population of youths in nigeria and the very young ones, that makes up a very impressive level of prowess in the ramification of HUMAN RESOURCE. In my own opinion humab resource is not just measured in manpower and physical capabilities alone but also in mind power , intellectual power and a high level of INDOMITABLE creativity.

If you think my above claim isnt factual then you are wrong. people of NAIJA within and in diaspora have demonstrated very high levels of exceptionality, in GLOBAL ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE, ENTREPRENEURSHIP , TECH AND DIGITAL WORLD, GLOBAL LEADERSHIP AND REPRESENTATION and most importantly SCIENTIFIC AND MEDICAL CONTRIBTIONS. now we all know who the richest man in AFRICA is, ii wont mention because its too much of an old news and it is not willing to change lol. TONY ELUMELU has a foundation that promotes entrepreneurship across africa with over 15k entrepreneurs funded! thats still nothing.... IYINOLUWA ABOYEJI is the cofounder of FLUTTERWAVE and ANDELA valued at 1 billion dollars!, i bet many ynigerians dont even know...

If you talk about AFRICA"S SILICON VALLEY youare refering to LAGOS STATE where globally recognised companies like PAYSTACK, INTERSWITCH and KUDA BANK were produced. we also have a lot of engineers and developers employed at GOOGLE MICROSOFT META and even AMAZON with many in senior positions, yes thats the shocking fact. i will alos remind you guys about DR PHILIP EMEAGWALI, DR SAMUEL ACHILEFU who developed cancer illuminating googles to help surgeons see more vivdly, CHIMAMANDA NGOZI ADICHIE for being a global literary icon and intellectual voice advocating feminism and African identity, ADEBAYO OGUNLESI who is chairman of GIP and owns several major airports including LONDON GATWICK! to me thats supercrazy... and finally we have NGOZI OKONJO IWEALA who became the DIRECTOR GENERAL OF THE WORLD TRADE ORGANIZATION (WTO) , she is the first ever AFRICAN and also first WOMAN to hold the position.

PROOF OF FACTS

NAIJA ON THE LEADERBOARD!

  • NATURAL RESOURCES & ECONOMIC POTENTIAL

I know you are already expecting me to talk about crude oil but c'mon, this blog isnt about old news....tho it is undisputable how nigeria is a major influence in the world's oil and gas trade having over 37 billion barrels and oil reserves, also having 206 - 209 trilion cubic feet of gas! >(https://oxfordbusinessgroup.com/) also naija has a very vast and prominent agriculture & minerals spread all over its states also recent GDP rebasing shows NIGERIA's economy aound 244BN$ and growing.... >(https://www.ft.com/content/38b06d3a-afd6-49bf-8860-235f807db934?utm_source=chatgpt.com) now i want to let you know what you are not supposed to know now but later.... there have been a new found worldclass leading mineral resource! it actually makes gas and any other look like a counterfeit. sometime ago during the boko haram saga in nigeria there were after claims that CALIFORNIUM was found in some thick nothern region of nigeria and the price reportedly is roughy 25- 30M$ in USD per gram! after some years claims were later debunked and said to be false because NAIJA doesnt have what it takes in TECH to test and actualize that they have it and then later stories that it was first synthesized in a foreign lab decades ago and they can only synthesize a measurale amount.... do you know i brought it up? the world since inception has bee influenced by power and run by propaganda so debunking and bringing later stories coupled with a terrorism saga at the time could be a proper strategy for HIGHER POWERS to take control of the resources, trust me if a deal like that is initiated NAIJA leaders will greedily accept.. i am not saying i am right, we are only reflecting.

now this section is not about singing nigeria's praises but i want to shed a little light on how the western influence have helped reshaped the narrative of nigeria and Africa as well and all these happens for just one reason, POWER.

  • EDUCATIONAL/ SYLLABLES & NARRATIVE SHIFT

As we all know education is a very major factor in life and the development of the world we live in. over the years IT has helped reshape the world and make existence more definitive. without education most of us would not have the exposure to be here on web 3 and asides every levels of learning and socialization, formal education is believed or perceived to be the BEDROCK or foundation of proper learning so that plays a major role, its easier to target that sector and catch generations before they are even aware of will power.

Nigeria is still an upcoming country that has attained such global height and recognition, competing with nations that have been existing since the beginning of the world! whooooa! c'mon, thst speaks grace and GIANTHOOD!. i am writing out of anger and pain because nigerians have a large population of NOT SMART people so only a few might understand and push this narrative about nigerians

EGYPT was founded 3100 BCE , CHINA was founded 2070 BCE , IRAN was founded 550BCE , egypt in africa existed before even the GREAT GREECE and greece was founded 800 BCE , i am tired of mentioning..... but here is my point, oh! even the GREAT BRITAIN and FRANCE were founded 927 & 843 CE.... they all existed millenium or centuries before NAIJA, now whos clapping for THE GIANT OF AFRICA ????

Today, talking about history in our formal education system has been influenced so much to sound like what the POWERS wants it to sound like, historical syllabus textbooks and foreign narratives as Passive not Active. NAIJA's role is always been omitted or simplified in Global Education (e.g African Economic Power) students abroad barely get to see references or even mere citations about nigeria as if NAIJA doesnt matter and still some nigerians dont wanna open their eyes to see the darkness of the world and start proclaiming our new identity THE RESILIENT GIANT but they rather remain bitter and angry at the leaders without accepting positivity and awareness of identity.

now being a giant doesnt mean you will be problem free or without deficits governance issues but how you face it and head on is what makes you a true giant...

Nigerians should not ignore this challenges but tell the children and upcoming generation what the nation was , is now and what its gonna be-(giant of Africa), that GIANT status is tied to the nations identity, e no easy abeg you gats comot body!...

If Nigeria uses its human + natural resources + narrative power, it can become not just Africa’s giant but a recognized and accepted GIANT/global player.

well i am tired of writing, i just hope i have been able to let NIGERIANS know the truth about their status, i tried as much as possible to write in my voice, and this is also a call to action for citizens, entrepreneurs, government and diaspora.

will we claim our giant status or continue only telling the story?

THANKS FOR READING!
