My Actifit Report Card: August 24 2025

Asslam o alikum and hello to my all dear friends and #actifit cummunity members.

I am great and I hope all my dear friends will be fine.Today was one of those special days that are always remembered. I went to Kala Bagh Dam with my brother and my good friend Abrar Khan. The trip itself was pleasant but the real fun came when we reached the dam. High mountains were visible from a distance and when we reached there, the view was breathtaking. The cool air, calm water and high mountains made the place like a paradise. Standing there, it felt as if a person was directly connected to nature, and it also made me realize how precious water is for life.

Kala Bagh Dam is located on the Indus River, near the town of Kala Bagh, in Mianwali District (Punjab). This place is not only famous for its beauty but also for its historical and national importance. The dam was first proposed in 1953 and was studied in detail by experts in the 1960s. The purpose of the dam was simple but powerful: to control floods, generate electricity, and store water for agriculture.

Sadly, after all these years, the Kalabagh Dam remains incomplete. The problem is not its importance, but rather the disagreement between the provinces. Punjab has been in favor of the project, but Sindh fears that water distribution will be affected, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa fears possible flooding in Nowshera, and Balochistan is concerned about its share. Because of these differences, the project was never completed, even though its benefits could change the future of the entire Pakistan.

As I stood there with my brother and Abrar, I thought to myself, what a revolution this dam could bring if it were completed. It could help control floods, provide more water to farmers, and generate thousands of megawatts of clean electricity. In short, this project can bring light and development to our country.

For me, this trip was not just a sightseeing tour, but also a learning and thought provoking experience. The day was filled with laughter, friendship and beautiful scenery. I returned not only with memorable moments but also with the belief that such projects are very important for the future of Pakistan.

It was truly a memorable day, and I am glad that I spent this time with my brother and friend Abrar Khan. Hopefully, one day this great project will be completed and future generations will get the benefits that we saw today only as a dream.
