Finally, it is stated the goal is to maintain a separation between banking and commerce. This is pure foolishness. It is akin to writing legislation that demands movie delivery come in the form of a physical disc instead of streaming.
I do notsee how the streaming to disc analogy works out.
In my opinion, the seperation sounds like it makes sense. Akin to separation of church and state, even though those lines were blurred a LOOONG time ago.
As far as crypto goes, I can not understand why the government, or even big business needs to get involved as far as controlling it. If we all did our due dilligence in researching appropriate risk, I believe things would be a lot better.

I think it completely applies. If government controls who or how something is delivered, that stunts technological progress.
