Iconic Acacia Tree of Africa.

The Africa landscapes spread far and wide for miles in end and there is not much to see but grass and shrub but this particular tree called the "Acacia Tree" really stands out and giving contrast to the never ending plains of Africa savannas and is not just a beautiful tree in the day time but a gleaming tower of beauty across the Africa savannas at sunset.

The main purpose for this tree being present in Africa is that with it's umbrella look it acts as a canopy providing shade to the wildlife and this Acacia tree is well adapted with the conditions of Africa it's roots reach deep in the underground searching for water to survive, truly a remarkable and iconic tree of Africa.

The equipment used was all Nikon. Early shots with a D70, later shots with 2 x D3 bodies.
