My Survival Plan: How and Why I'd Use My Wits to Stay Alive | LOH #253

Hello, lovely Ladies of Hive! 💖 Hope you're having a wonderful week! ✨

This week's challenge question by @saffisara is a thought-provoking one that encourages us to think where we must seriously consider our own strengths, weaknesses, and survival instincts:

1️⃣ How long do you think you would last in a survivor man type situation?

It is easy to say "I'd last forever" or "I wouldn’t last a day," but my answer would simply depend on the resources I could acquire and what I had brought with me just in case that happens. Survival is less about how long you’d last and more about how adaptable you are to the surroundings you’re in.

When it comes to my survival skills, I’m confident being calm and resourceful. I think these qualities are more important than physical strength alone. Staying calm will help you think clearly and make better decisions instead of panicking. And by resourcefulness, I mean being creative with the resources you have and being able to make something out of nothing.

My priority would certainly be securing shelter or finding a safe place. To have a secure, dry place to rest would be most crucial. It would provide me with a base to begin working from, somewhere to store any resources I find, and will also serve as protection from other elements.

3. Shelter.jpg

Honestly, my greatest challenges would be fearing bugs or wild animals, and lack of physical strength. I believe the mere psychological fear of creepy crawlies and unknown creatures would be as tough to overcome as physical fatigue. I’m not very strong or quick, so I would need to rely on my mental ability and problem-solving skills instead of using brute force.

Finally, I believe my survival strategy is less about the tough hero but the smart survivor. It’s about recognizing my limitations and accepting that, as well as using my strengths to navigate them. I hope I never have to put this theory to the test, but it’s an interesting situation to consider.

En situaciones de sobrevivencia, me imagino que lo más importante, tal como señalas, es mantener la calma, cuestión que no es fácil pero nos permite encontrar alternativas factibles. Saludos.

You're absolutely right! 💕 Staying calm lets you think clearly, evaluate the situation, and find logical solutions 🙌 No matter how many skills or tools you have, panic can ruin everything without a cool head ✨

I think you have many good pointers, and so true about survivel not only being about skills and tools for emergency situations but to keep calm and have a clear head.

That is more likely to save you than lots of prepp tools. And to use what we have and can find in whatever envirement we end up in.

And I love fishing so hope to catch fish and sea food so I won't need to eat bugs 😱🙈 OMG... Yacky!

Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful weekend. Cheers 🌷

I totally agree! 🙌 Fishing sounds like a much more appealing way to find food. Hopefully, we'll be able to catch plenty of fish and seafood and won't have to consider bugs 😅🤮 Thanks for dropping by sis and have a wonderful weekend too 🥰🤗🌷

Sin duda lo más importante ante un momento de pánico es respirar y pensar. Excelente aporte para el tema hay que mantener la calma ante todo y luego actuar. Un abrazo

Without a doubt, the most important thing when faced with a moment of panic is to breathe and think. This is an excellent contribution to the topic: first and foremost, you have to stay calm and then act. Hugs.

That's right. Those who stop and breathe think better than those who act recklessly. Thank you so much for stopping to think.

Eso es correcto quien se detiene y respira piensa mejor que quien actúa a lo loco. Muchas gracias por detenerte a pensar.
