A Taste of Venice in Manila: Our Gondola Ride Experience at Venice Grand Canal Mall BGC, Taguig City, Philippines
Hello everyone! π Hope you are all doing very well βΊοΈ Today, I'm excited to share an enchanting experience from an evening out. My sister, my cousin from Canada, and I took a special trip to the Venice Grand Canal Mall at BGC, Taguig City, Philippines. BGC (Bonifacio Global City) is a lively and modern area in Metro Manila, famous for its high-rise buildings and busy streets. Our plan was to explore the mall, grab some dinner, and most of all, finally ride a Gondola! π
We headed to the mall right after my sister and I finished work. It was quite chilly at night, and on the way, it was even misting a little. Fortunately, the misting stopped, and it didn't continue to rain heavily, so we knew our Gondola ride might still be possible!
Even with the cool air, the mall felt lively. The moment you step in, you see why it's so popular. It's truly inspired by the famous Venice Grand Canal in Italy, and the design is just beautiful. Itβs extra charming and lively at night when all the lights turn on. The whole place glows, making it feel quite magical, almost like being in another country.
Before our ride, we wanted to grab some coffee. My cousin from Canada was excited because we decided to go to Tim Hortons. It was our first time trying it, and she'd been missing it from Canada. She chose her usual order for us: French Vanilla Hot Coffee and Ultimate Cheese Bagels. They were delicious and tasted rich. We took a photo of my cousin, sister, and me at Tim Hortons, remembering this sweet first-time experience.
We spent some time walking around, taking in the unique buildings and the busy atmosphere. With the canal winding through the middle of the mall, it really does make you feel like you've been transported to another place. We took some photos with the grand canal as our backdrop, capturing the beauty of the evening lights and the mall's design.
Then came the moment we were most excited for: our Gondola ride! π My cousin, my sister, and I got on the Gondola. It was perfect because it wasn't crowded, which made the ride feel extra special and peaceful. We enjoyed every bit of it so much that we didn't even notice the time passing.
Our Gondolier was very kind, and he sailed us smoothly from one end of the canal to the other. The air was fresh and cool, and the water looked clear. Being on the ride felt so peaceful and even romantic. We truly saw the beauty around us in a different way.

As we went along, we saw the mall's buildings, various shops, and all the beautiful lights and decorations that made the place so vibrant. Our Gondolier was also helpful, taking photos of us. We loved the whole experience.
This trip was a perfect mix of exploring, a unique experience, and making lovely new memories with your loved ones.
πTips for Your Visit
If you're planning to visit Venice Grand Canal Mall or try the Gondola ride, here are some tips:
- The best time to go is at night. That's when the place is beautifully lit, making the whole experience even more enchanting.
- You can buy tickets at the site.
- To avoid crowds, try to visit on a weekday evening like we did. It makes the experience much more peaceful.
- Important: If it's raining, the Gondola ride is unavailable. So, it's always a good idea to check the weather forecast before you go.
