Tracy woke more jovial than usual. "Mama, can we go to the park, pretty please?" she asked as she did her undeniable puppy face.

"But the park is for tomorrow, sweetie. You haven't forgotten that we're going to see your auntie Megg. Have you now, baby?" I asked as I made scrambled eggs. She pouted. "Now, c'mon sweetie, don't let those eggs go cold," I said to her as I kissed her forehead. "Okay mommy," she said, diving into her plate.

As she ate, she brightened up with an idea. "Mommy, can I speak with aunt Megg?" Sure, I said with no second guess, as I placed a call and gave her the phone.

"Auntie Megg!" She screamed into the phone, excitedly, "Hello, can you ask mommy if we can go to the park pretty please, and come visit ya tomorrow? I want to see Stev. I had a dream yesterday. Mommy won't understand, pleeease," she begged as she stretched the please, all the while looking at me.

"What dream did you have, sweetheart? Who is Stev? What happened to Stev?" Megg asked teasingly.

Tracy giggled before answering, "Stev is my favorite frog at the pond, silly," she laughed as she described Stev. "I saw Stev dancing to the ballet. He was so funny, aunt Megg, with his tiny long back legs, he jumped from one leaf in the pond to another," she narrated, so full of life. "I want to tell him my dream too, aunt Megg," I heard her plead, smiling inwardly at her persuasion skills.

"Okay monkey, give the phone to Mommy," Megg said. "Will ya tell her we can come see you tomorrow?" Tracy asked pleadingly.

"Yes sweetie, you can come see me tomorrow, now give the phone to Mommy," she said with finality thatcompelled Tracy to give back the phone to me.
