as we know all the things we consume in one country must have readings especially every food or drink already has a tax in our country, the tax that I know that is published on the internet is around 12% all goods and also electronic credit that we fill are definitely subject to 12% tax yes and there are also but like goods or materials that are unhealthy sometimes the tax is higher for example like cigarettes in our country I heard but do not know for sure 50% tax is high because cigarettes are dangerous for health but is it true or is it better or not good if the tax price is expensive in my opinion sometimes even though the tax is too high for one item for example cigarettes the tax is 50% there is a negative impact because the one who makes the cigarette or irresponsible people will try to sell cigarettes without tax and that sometimes harms the country because they do not pay tax and also because importing goods that are not taxed is usually also done by high-ranking people such as soldiers or mafia who do this which I see in the news

. and also if the price of sugar is increased I don't agree either, it is a basic need or it can be said in our country that 9 basic prices or 9 basic foods sugar is a staple food in our place but it may be very dangerous for people who consume too much sugar because it can cause diabetes sometimes sugar is necessary like what I feel when I'm tired I drink sugar water I feel like my energy is restored because sugar also contains blood sugar which is the energy converted by the body and I don't consume too much sugar either, at most drinking sweet water or drinking coffee definitely uses sugar.

. so even though the government raises expensive prices for example cigarettes, people or certain individuals will find loopholes or ways to not be able to pay taxes, which is detrimental to the country in the end and also detrimental to people who really want to buy something for example wanting to buy sugar which in our country the price of sugar is now IDR 20,000 using Indonesian money later if the tax on the fish is too high we have to buy it for IDR 50,000 Indonesian money, it is certainly very burdensome for the community but it is different indeed for example ingredients such as alcoholic beverages are sold

would certainly be good if alcohol was expensive because it is very harmful to the body and in our country alcohol is prohibited but there are also places that I don't know that sell alcohol and it might be smuggled or if it is sold using high taxes for example up to 50%, I agree if alcohol is sold expensively and hard to get but the users even though it is high and expensive they will definitely find a way to get the goods. Moreover, alcohol seems to be an addiction, like when I see my friends who smoke, they seem to be addicted to cigarettes and they also use illegal cigarettes and don't buy legal cigarettes because legal cigarettes are expensive, while illegal or unofficial cigarettes are very cheap, the comparison is that for example the price is IDR 10,000 in Indonesian currency, if taxed, it is up to IDR 35,000 in Indonesian currency.

that's my personal opinion about taxes raised by the government, there are some that I agree with and some that I don't agree with, what I agree with is raising high taxes such as alcoholic beverages and cigarettes, that's okay but there must be negative impacts too and what I don't agree with is raising the price of sugar because sugar is a staple food in our country
