Testing free brushes from the app | Testando pincéis grátis do app [EN/PT]

Shortly after starting this Challenge: Drawing (almost) every day on iPad, I commented on the tools I was using in the post My 3 favorite drawing apps for iPad.

One of these apps, which was second on the list of favorites, is Art Set, which features paper textures and digital brush simulations, attempting to emulate an intuitive environment like painting in the real world. Today's art showcases the different styles of free brushes available in that app, a sample of a larger collection for those who purchase additional upgrades.

Despite the Differences in drawing with mouse/digitizer tablet vs. iPad the app clearly intends to look more like it was done by hand. Furthermore, each type of brush may be better suited for certain styles and effects, including writing Chinese characters, which I discussed previously in the posts Chinese ideograms are also drawings for me and Okinawan proverb.

Remember that in Asia, calligraphy is considered an art, decorating rooms and spaces with framed papyrus scrolls. In Japan, it is specifically called "shodo" (the way of writing). In the end, the post's artwork resembles this style, as one of the objectives of the test was to discover the best way to write ideograms. Once finished, I even thought the human figure in the center resembled a representation of the famous Chinese philosopher Confucius.

Returning to the list of favorite drawing apps, at the recommendation of a former coworker, I also started testing Concepts. He said it was lighter, saved as a PDF, and took up less disk space than Procreate (the most popular drawing app, which I haven't tried yet because it's not free).

Logo depois de começar este Desafio: Desenhando (quase) todo dia no iPad, comentei as ferramentas que estava usando no post Meus 3 aplicativos de desenho preferidos para iPad.

Um destes apps, que estava em segundo na lista de preferência, é o Art Set, que tem como diferencial as texturas de papéis e simulações digitais de pincéis, tentando emular um ambiente intuitivo como pintar no mundo real. A arte de hoje mostra os diferentes estilos de pincéis grátis disponíveis, uma amostra de uma coleção maior para quem compra os upgrades adicionais.

Apesar das Diferenças em desenhar com mouse/mesa digitalizadora x iPad o app tem clara intenção de parecer mais que foi feito a mão. Além disso, cada tipo de pincel pode ser mais adequado para determinados estilos e efeitos, inclusive para a escrita com caracteres chineses, que comentei anteriormente nos posts Ideogramas chineses tb são desenhos pra mim e Provérbio okinawano.

Lembrando que na Ásia a caligrafia é considerada uma arte, decorando salas e ambientes com papiros emoldurados, no Japão especificamente é chamada de "shodo" (o caminho da escrita). No final a arte do post lembra este estilo pois um dos objetivos do teste foi descobrir qual melhor opção pra escrever os ideogramas. Depois de pronta até achei a figura humana do centro parece com a representação do famoso filósofo chinês Confúcio.

Voltando à lista dos apps de desenho preferidos, por indicação de um ex-colega de trabalho, comecei a testar tb o Concepts. Ele disse ser mais leve, salvar em pdf e os arquivos feitos nele ocupam menos espaço em disco do que o Procreate (app de desenho mais popular, que ainda não testei por não ser grátis).
