Our Unexpectedly Great Lunch at The Pitstop : Their Pork BBQ is a Must-Try

Hello, Hivers!! 👋
Guess what?!
I was out running errands for my sister's Halloween party (yep, the spooky season is almost here),, when my tummy started rumbling.. 😁
It was officially lunchtime and my husband and I knew exactly where to go..
our favorite local spot,, The Pitstop Restaurant.. 😋

The restaurant was looking all new and festive!!

The bright yellow and green chairs really make the place feel cheerful.. 💛 💚
We grabbed a seat and I noticed they even have a cool mural about a "Famous Mango Pizza".. Maybe next time we'll try that!!

We were totally set on getting their Chicken Inasal (grilled chicken),, it's so good!
We always go back here for those svory chicken inasal.. 😋

But, alas, a great tragedy struck,, 🤣
it was their bestseller and totally SOLD OUT for the day! 😭 ohh noo....
We had to quickly check the menu again and change our order...
We decided to try the Liempo (grilled pork belly) and the Pork BBQ!!
So, we waited and hoped for the best..

And surprise,, it turned out to be a great save!! 😁
Their pork options are absolutely delicious, too.. 👍

The Liempo was perfectly grilled, with those tasty, caramelized edges.. 😋

Sweet, savory and super tender!!😋

You might think sweet BBQ is weird but trust me,, it’s amazing.. 😋
We dipped the meat in that classic Filipino mix of soy sauce and calamansi (a tiny lime) for that perfect tangy kick.. 😋

Now, here's the Unli-Rice challenge!! 🍚
We went for the Unlimited Rice combo,, because who can resist?!
My husband, the champ, managed to finish four cups of rice and I proudly kept up with two.. don't judge our carb intake 😂..

It was the perfect, hearty lunch date we didn't plan for.. 😊
Sometimes, when your first choice is gone,, you find something even better!! 😊

I hope next time we get there,, we can have the best-selling chicken inasal so I can share how delicious it is.. 😊
