Chasing the Sun in the City: A Riverside Walk

I'm back with another sunset blog, but this time, a city view. 😊

We stayed in the city again for another weekend family trip. The weather was so hot and sunny by day, but windy and cool by sundown.

I mentioned in my previous post that I was curious what the sunset would look like in the city. It wouldn't be my first time seeing it 😆, but I'm just wondering where's the best place to snap a beautiful sunset. Since we are heading to the city, I was so excited.

My husband suggested we go to one of the esplanades here in Iloilo City.

As we arrived there, a lot of people were already waiting. Lots of cars were parked by the side of the brick path.

Here are the first two photos I captured as I was walking on the wide brick esplanade. The sun was glowing brightly right from the horizon. The sky was as beautiful as the sun. It was filled with big, fluffy clouds. The clouds were also glowing with a dark shade from behind.

We walked more and snapped more photos. These 2 looks a bit closer. There were people walking, and some were jogging. We can see the silhouettes of street lamps and some trees. We can also see black dots in the sky 😁. Those were birds, but my phone camera isn't that good at capturing far and moving subjects 😁.

There were also flowering plants in the center of the brick path. I took a few photos of them and enjoyed the last few seconds of the sun's glow.

It was so calming to see the sunset, feel a cool breeze, and stretch my legs. My shift usually starts at 5 pm or 6 pm, and sunset is something I miss every day. I truly treasure this moment, especially with my family.
