BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge! || SHADES OF GRAY Ruleset
SHADES OF GRAY

"Only Neutral Units may be used in battles."
SHADES OF GRAY is one of the new rulesets introduced this year. SHADES OF GRAY is a ruleset that restricts the use of monsters (Units) in a battle. The limitation in the SHADES OF GRAY ruleset is that we can only use monsters from the NEUTRAL element. As for Summoners, we can still use Summoners from elements that are available (or provided) in a battle.
To overcome the SHADES OF GRAY ruleset, we need to know what other rulesets accompany it to choose which NEUTRAL monsters we should use in that ruleset. In addition, choosing the right Summoner can affect the course of the battle.
RULESET & FORMATION
In addition to SHADES OF GRAY, the Rulesets in this battle are...
AIMLESS
AIMLESS is a ruleset that gives additional abilities in the form of SCATTER SHOT to all monsters in the battle arena. SCATTER SHOT
is an ability that chooses its attack target randomly in each round. The SCATTER SHOT
ability only affects Ranged and Magic monsters, while Melee monsters are not affected even though they receive this ability from the AIMLESS ruleset.
BLOOD AND SUNDER
BLOOD AND SUNDER is a ruleset that gives additional abilities in the form of CORROSIVE WARD to all monsters in the battle arena. CORROSIVE WARD
is an ability that will deal damage to Melee monsters when they successfully deal damage to targets that have this ability. The damage they receive is a permanent loss of 2 ARMOR (cannot be repaired using the REPAIR
ability). However, if the Melee monster does not have ARMOR, then it will not receive any damage from the CORROSIVE WARD
ability.

BATTLE STARTS!!!
The opponent also used Arkemis the Bear who has the PROTECT ability. But unfortunately, it was thwarted by Scavo Technomancer with the RUST
ability.
In the first round, Supply Runner targeted my opponent's Arkemis the Bear and made him enter RAGE mode. My Junker and Arkemis the Bear attacked Disintegrator and cut his Attack power to just 1 point. My Venari Spellsmith and Scavo Technomancer attacked Magi of Chaos and dealt additional damage to Drybone Raider.
While on the opposing side, Uraeus attacked Venari Spellsmith and managed to give him a poison effect. Magi of Chaos attacked Scavo Technomancer although it only hit his ARMOR. Meanwhile, Gargoya Devil damaged the entire ARMOR of Junker. But the attacks from Disintegrator and Drybone Raider failed to hit their respective targets.
In the second round, Supply Runner again targeted the opponent's Arkemis the Bear. Arkemis the Bear, Venari Spellsmith, Junker, and Scavo Technomancer managed to defeat Disintegrator. But before being defeated, Disintegrator had countered the attack from Arkemis the Bear using the RETALIATE ability so that my Arkemis the Bear entered RAGE mode.
The first attack of Drybone Raider and Gargoya Devil failed to hit Arkemis the Bear. Magi of Chaos targeted Scavo Technomancer again. The second attack of Drybone Raider and Uraeus defeated Venari Spellsmith. Despite being defeated, Venari Spellsmith still deals damage to all opponents of 1 point each through her REDEMPTION ability.
In the third round, my Arkemis the Bear can only deal 1 point of damage to the opponent's Arkemis the Bear despite having high Attack power. That's because Arkemis the Bear has the FORCEFIELD ability that reduces the damage from monsters that have Attack power over 4 to only 1 point. Meanwhile, my opponent's Arkemis the Bear whose Attack power is cut to 3 points deals damage to my Arkemis the Bear.
Supply Runner defeated Uraeus while Junker defeated the opponent's Arkemis the Bear. Scavo Technomancer targeted his attack at Magi of Chaos. And he received a counterattack from Drybone Raider and Magi of Chaos (fortunately, Scavo Technomancer's ARMOR was repaired by Junker and Scavo Hireling). The first attack of Drybone Raider and Gargoya Devil again failed to hit Arkemis the Bear.
In the fourth round, Arkemis the Bear and Gargoya Devil each failed to deal damage to their targets. Supply Runner defeated Magi of Chaos. Junker attacked Gargoya Devil. Scavo Technomancer attacks Drybone Raider and its collateral damage hits Gargoya Devil.
Drybone Raider attacks and damages the ARMOR of Scavo Technomancer and Scavo Hireling*.
In the fifth round, Gargoya Devil managed to dodge attacks from Arkemis the Bear, Supply Runner, and Junker. But he was defeated by the BLAST he received when Scavo Technomancer attacked Drybone Raider. Drybone Raider's first attack managed to deal damage to Arkemis the Bear while his second attack missed.
In the final round, Drybone Raider was defeated by an attack from Arkemis the Bear.

Review of this battle
Fighting in the AIMLESS ruleset will result in a 50% victory because the attacks from Magic and Ranged monsters from both sides are unpredictable. That makes us unable to know who the winner is until the last second.
But in this battle, I was able to succeed thanks to Scavo Technomancer who has the RUST and BLIND
abilities. The RUST
ability allows my monster's Melee and Ranged attacks to directly hit the Health points of targets that initially have ARMOR of no more than 2. Meanwhile, BLIND
makes several attacks from the opponent's monsters fail to hit my monster.
In addition, Scavo Hireling and Supply Runner which increase and decrease SPEED are also very influential to be able to increasing the success of the BLIND effect ability.
