BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge! || FIRE & REGRET Ruleset
FIRE & REGRET

"Up to Four Units can be used."
FIRE AND REGRET is one of the rulesets that gives additional abilities in the form of RETURN FIRE to all monsters in the battle arena. RETURN FIRE
is an ability that can provide a counterattack if the owner receives an attack from a Ranged monster.
The way to get through this ruleset is of course by not using Ranged attack monsters so as not to be hit by the counterattack from the RETURN FIRE ability. But if you still want or are forced to use Ranged monsters, then it is better to use Ranged attack monsters that have ARMOR so that the backlash from RETURN FIRE
ability does not directly hit the Health points of the ranged attack monsters. Also, bring monsters that have the REPAIR
ability so that the ARMOR of the Ranged attack monster can be repaired.
RULESET & FORMATION
In addition to FIRE & REGRET, the Rulesets in this battle are...
LOST LEGENDARIES
LOST LEGENDARIES is a ruleset that prohibits the use of monsters with Legendary Rarity. However, you can still use Legendary Summoners because this ruleset only prohibits the use of monsters of that Rarity.
There is no specific way to handle this ruleset. It all depends on your knowledge of the cards, their abilities, and the Manacap and other Rulesets that come with them.
NOXIOUS FUMES
NOXIOUS FUMES is a ruleset that will give poison effects to all monsters in the battle arena. However, this does not apply to monsters that have the IMMUNITY ability.
Poison-affected monsters receive a 2-point Health reduction each round. To overcome this (in addition to using monsters with IMMUNITY ability), you can use monsters with CLEANSE
ability to remove poison from the target monster (can only be used for monsters in the first position). Or you can bring a monster with the HEAL
ability that can heal itself.
My Line-Up
Cards | Ability | Reason |
---|---|---|
![]() | - Give additionals of 1 SPEED and 1 ARMOR to All Allies | I chose Kelya Frendul because I needed additional ARMOR to protect some of the Ranged Monsters I brought so that the counterattack from the RETURN FIRE ![]() In addition, in the Water Element, some monsters have the CLEANSE ![]() ![]() |
![]() | TRAMPLE + ENRAGE + RETALIATE | The main reason I use Diemonshark is because it has the RETALIATE ![]() And when its Health points are below 100%, it will get an additional Attack power and SPEED of 1.5 times through the ENRAGE ![]() |
![]() | REACH + BLIND + BACKFIRE | I'm using Flying Squid because he has the REACH ![]() Flying Squid also has the BLIND ![]() ![]() |
![]() | CLEANSE + AMPLIFY + SWIFTNESS | Because of the NOXIOUS FUMES ruleset, it is necessary for monsters to have the CLEANSE ![]() In addition, River Nymph has the AMPLIFY ![]() ![]() ![]() |
![]() | NONE | Although she doesn't have any abilities, Nerissa Tridawn has high enough health that she can still survive the effects of poison even though she doesn't have the HEAL ![]() |
![]() | SWIFTNESS + STRENGTHEN | Although Supply Runner is a Ranged monster, I still need it because it has SWIFTNESS ![]() |
![]() | TAUNT + CLOSE RANGE + VOID + RETURN FIRE | In addition to Supply Runner, I also brought Wave Brood because he is useful for attracting the attention of the opponent's monsters with his TAUNT ![]() ![]() ![]() |
BATTLE START !!!
The opponent uses Possibilus the Wise as Summoner and uses Coastal Sentry who has DOUBLE STRIKE ability to fill the second position helping Diemonshark who is in the first position.
He also uses Moxian Rebel which gives an additional 1 Magic attack power to the two No-Attack monsters he carries (Ulundin Overseer and Grimbardun Smith).
In the first round, Diemonshark and Flying Squid attacked the opponent's Diemonshark. Nerissa Tridawn, River Nymph, Supply Runner, and Wave Brood directed their attacks at the opponent's Wave Brood. But Supply Runner and Wave Brood was hit by a counterattack from RETURN FIRE ability.
Meanwhile, on the opponent's side, Diemonshark and Coastal Sentry attacked my Diemonshark. The opponent's other 4 monsters directed their attacks at my Wave Brood, but only the attack from the opponent's Wave Brood managed to hit my Wave Brood (although it had to be hit by the counterattack from RETURN FIRE ability). Meanwhile, the attacks from Ulundin Overseer, Moxian Rebel, and Grimbardun Smith did not deal any damage to my Wave Brood because it has the VOID
ability.
In the second round, my Supply Runner defeated my opponent's Wave Brood. My Diemonshark also defeated the opponent's Diemonshark and continued its attack on the Coastal Sentry. The Coastal Sentry was then defeated by the Flying Squid.
The first-placed Ulundin Overseer became the target of attacks from Nerissa Tridawn, River Nymph, and Wave Brood. Ulundin Overseer himself attacked Diemonshark.
In the third round, Supply Runner lost due to the poison effect. Diemonshark, Flying Squid, and Nerissa Tridawn defeated Ulundin Overseer. Moxian Rebel was defeated by River Nymph.

Review of this battle
Luckily this time I was able to win the battle because the opponent was less precise in choosing the monsters to bring. Although we both used Wave Brood, the opponent preferred to use Magic monsters that only have an Attack power of 1 point and No attack monsters that have IMMUNITY ability. Because of this, the attack from the opponent's Magic monster does not deal any damage to Wave Brood because it has the VOID
ability which can reduce the damage from magic monster attacks.
