BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge! || FEROCITY Ruleset
FEROCITY
"All Monsters have the Fury ability."
FEROCITY is one of the rulesets that will give additional abilities in the form of FURY to all monsters in the battle arena. FURY is an ability that is specialized to overcome monsters that have the TAUNT ability. monsters that have the FURY ability will deal 2 times the damage if they attack (or are forced to direct their attacks at) monsters that have the TAUNT ability.
To deal with this ruleset, of course, we must avoid using monsters that have TAUNT abilities so that these monsters are not defeated quickly. But if you still want to use them, make sure they have abilities that can reduce the damage they receive such as SHIELD (Melee or Ranged Attack), VOID (Magic attack), or FORCFIELD (monsters that have Attack power above 5 points). However, some TAUNT monsters are quite useful after their defeat.
Iziar, a Soulbound Legendary Card from the Life element, will add 1 point to all STATS of nearby monsters when he is defeated. This is a function of the MARTYR ability that he has when he is level 3. Meanwhile, Iidri Fyre who is a Soulbound Epic Card from Fire Element will use the REDEMPTION ability when he is defeated. The REDEMPTION ability will deal 1 point of damage (which is equivalent to the damage of a Melee or Ranged monster attack) to all opposing monsters.
RULESET & FORMATION
In addition to FEROCITY, the Rulesets in this battle are...
NOXIOUS FUMES
NOXIOUS FUMES is a ruleset that will poison all monsters in the battle arena since the battle starts. Like the poison effect given when hit by an attack from a beast that has the POISON ability, the poison effect that comes from the NOXIOUS FUMES ruleset can be removed by using the CLEANSE ability (specifically for monsters in the first position) or by letting the monster die and then reviving it using the RESURRECT or REBIRTH ability.
In addition, the effects of poison can be minimized by using monsters that have healing abilities (HEAL , TANK HEAL , TRIAGE ). Or you can negate the effects of poison from the start if you use monsters that have the IMMUNITY ability.
My Line-Up
Cards | Ability | Reason |
---|---|---|
- Give an additional 1 ARMOR and SPEED to All Allies | The reason I'm using Kelya Frendul this time is that in the Water Element, there are monsters that have the CLEANSE ability which will be useful for clearing the poison effect of the monsters in the first position. In addition, there are also monsters that have the RESURRECT ability (which is also useful for removing the poison effect even if you have to let the monster lose first). | |
VOID + PHASE + FORCEFIELD | I decided to use Djinn Oshannus which is a Magic monster because there is a possibility that the opponent will use TANK which has abilities that are specialized to deal with Melee monsters (such as THORNS or RETALIATE ). In addition, Djinn Oshannus also has the FORCEFIELD ability to prevent if it has to receive attacks from monsters that have Attack power above 4 points (which most likely comes from the effect of ENRAGE ability). And if the Attack power of the opponent's monster is still below 5 points, there is a possibility that Djinn Oshannus can overcome it by relying on the SPEED advantage. | |
REACH + BLIND + BACKFIRE | I often choose Flying Squid to fill the second position of course because he has the REACH ability which can help TANK to attack the opponent's monster in the first position. In addition, Flying Squid also has a BLIND ability that can reduce the accuracy of the opponent's attacks so that their attacks miss more often. | |
OPPORTUNITY + POISON + DEMORALIZE | Although all monsters have been affected by the poison effect since the beginning of the battle, I chose Deeplurker not because of that. I use Deeplurker to attack the opponent's monsters with the lowest Health points (which usually support monsters to repair ARMOR or heal other monsters). In addition, Deeplurker also has the DEMORALIZE ability which can be used to reduce the Attack power of the opponent's melee monster by 1 point. | |
CLEANSE + AMPLIFY + SWIFTNESS | The River Nymph is a monster that has the CLEANSE ability (which I've mentioned before) and she will be tasked with cleaning up the Poison effects of the monsters in the first position. At max level, River Nymph has the SWIFTNESS ability which can increase the speed of all my monsters so there is a chance that my monsters will get their turn to attack first. | |
RESURRECT + INSPIRE + DISPEL | River Hellondale will be in charge of reviving 1 of my defeated monsters. It also has the INSPIRE ability to increase the Attack power of my monster's Melee as well as the DISPEL ability that can remove the buffs received by my opponent's first-positioned monster. | |
WEAPONS TRAINING + OPPORTUNITY + SHIELD | The Kulu MasterMind is tasked with helping the Deeplurker finish off the opposing monster that has the lowest Health points first using the OPPORTUNITY ability. |
BATTLE START !!!
The opposing party also used the Water element although with a different Summoner. It uses Lux Vega which has a buff similar to Kelya Frendul. The difference is the additional 1 Health point that Kelya Frendul does not have.
In the first round, Djinn Oshannus and Flying Squid attacked Arkemis the Bear, putting him into Rage mode (an effect of the ENRAGE ability). Then Arkemis the Bear and Flying Squid attacked Djinn Oshannus.
Kulu Mastermind, River Nymph, River Hellondale, and Deeplurker attacked Wave Brood who had the TAUNT ability so he took 2 times the damage but was partially healed by Angelic Mandarin.
Kulu Swimhunter, Angelic Mandarin, and Wave Brood failed to land their attacks on Djinn Oshannus. Meanwhile, Deeplurker attacked River Nymph.
In the second round, Wave Brood was defeated by Kulu Mastermind. Djinn Oshannus, River Hellondale, and River Nymph attacked Arkemis the Bear. Arkemis the Bear successfully attacked Djinn Oshannus but the attack was dampened by the FORCEFIELD ability so it only reduced 1 Health point.
Flying Squid of both sides failed to land their attacks on their respective targets. Similarly, Angelic Mandarin failed to hit Djinn Oshannus. However, the attack from Kulu Swimhunter managed to hit Djinn Oshannus.
My opponent's Deeplurker managed to defeat River Nymph (but was revived by River Hellondale). Meanwhile, my Deeplurker targeted Kulu Swimhunter.
In the third round, River Hellondale lost due to the poison effect of the NOXIOUS FUMES Ruleset. Arkemis the Bear was defeated by Djinn Oshannus. Kulu Swimhunter defeated Djinn Oshannus then he was defeated by Kulu Mastermind.
The Flying Squid from both sides attacked each other. The Angelic Mandarin and River Nymph attacked the Flying Squid from the opposite side. My Deeplurker attacked my opponent's Deeplurker who targeted his attack at River Nymph.

Review of this battle
I managed to win this battle partly because my opponent used Wave Brood which has the TAUNT ability despite being in the FEROCITY Ruleset. The Wave Brood was defeated quickly so that all my monsters could focus their attacks on their respective targets.
In addition, the FORCEFIELD ability possessed by Djinn Oshannus managed to reduce the attack of Arkemis the Bear who has an Attack power of 5 points while in Rage mode so that he was not quickly defeated (although he had to be defeated by the attack of Kulu Swimhunter).
