Il était une fois , dans un royaume lointain , un vieil homme farfelu . Il avait la manie d’observer les abeilles et de les compter .
Un jour , alors qu’il scrutait leur ballet incessant , il remarqua que certains œufs avaient éclos . Désormais , il avait 85 petites ouvrières qui butinaient de fleur en fleur.

Mais ce n’était pas tout .
Ce vieil homme avait un grimoire , un livre mystérieux où il consignait 466 secrets .
Des secrets si bien gardés qu’il ne les révélerait qu’à ceux qui lui diraient bonjour ou partageraient un secret avec lui .
Et , entre nous , il adorait la pizza , fumer de l’herbe et boire un coup . On raconte même qu’il écoutait volontiers les blagues des voyageurs venus lui parler au coin du feu .

C’est ainsi que naquit la légende de l’Homme aux Secrets .

Les gens venaient lui confier leurs histoires , leurs farces et leurs petits secrets sans grandes valeurs .
Et , malgré les sourires en coin et les haussements d’épaules , chaque secret pouvait vous rapporter une petite abeille , à condition de savoir lire entre les lignes .

Mais voilà , le vieil homme n’était pas très doué pour garder les secrets .
Chaque soir , il les dévoilait aux nouveaux arrivants .
Et le nombre de secrets à décrypter ne cessait d’augmenter . Actuellement , il en reste 216 à déchiffrer , et leur prix grimpe toujours (stabilisé pour le moment , bien sûr ) .

Alors , si vous croisez cet homme un peu farfelu , dites lui bonjour , racontez lui une blague , et qui sait , peut-être qu’il vous confiera l’un de ses secrets.
Mais attention , il faudra lire entre les lignes , car les abeilles ne se laissent pas apprivoiser si facilement !

Once upon a time, in a distant kingdom, there lived an eccentric old man. His peculiar habit was to observe bees and count them. One day, as he watched their ceaseless dance, he noticed that certain eggs had hatched. Now, he had 85 little worker bees flitting from flower to flower.

But that wasn’t all. This old man possessed a mysterious grimoire—a book in which he recorded 466 secrets. These secrets were so well guarded that he would only reveal them to those who greeted him or shared a secret in return. And, between you and me, he had a penchant for pizza, smoking herbs, and enjoying a drink. Rumor has it that he also delighted in listening to travelers’ jokes by the fireside.

And thus, the legend of the Man of Secrets was born.

People would confide in him—share their stories, their tricks, and their insignificant secrets. Despite the knowing smiles and raised eyebrows, each secret could earn you a tiny bee, provided you knew how to read between the lines.

But here’s the twist: the old man wasn’t great at keeping secrets. Every evening, he’d reveal them to new arrivals. And the number of secrets to decipher kept growing. Currently, there are 216 left to unravel, and their value keeps climbing (for now, at least).

So, if you happen upon this slightly eccentric man, say hello, tell him a joke, and who knows? Perhaps he’ll entrust you with one of his secrets. But beware—reading between the lines is essential, as these bees aren’t easily tamed!

His secret? He got stung by a bee, confirming that he’s very much ALIVE. Ouch!

His secret? He checked under his pants and discovered that he’s definitely a man. Mystery solved!

@servelle
Her secret culinary move? She puts oyster sauce on her meat while cooking. It’s a blend of caramelized oyster juice, salt, sugar, and sometimes thickened soy sauce with cornstarch. (The legend learned something new and plans to incorporate it into future fireside feasts.)

Son astuce culinaire secrète ? Elle met de la sauce d’huître sur sa viande pendant la cuisson. C’est un mélange de jus d’huître caramélisé, de sel, de sucre et parfois de sauce soja épaissie à la fécule de maïs. (La légende a appris quelque chose de nouveau et prévoit de l’incorporer dans ses futurs festins autour du feu.)

Un de mes secrets j'aime l'étymologie, en voyant le commentaire d'@itharagaian qui parle de sa peur des "hyménoptères", hymen=membrane, ptère=aile, donc insectes à ailes membraneuses, comme les abeilles.
On déduit facilement que l'animal préhistorique "ptérodactyle" est celui qui a des doigts sur les ailes.
Je pose la devinette suivante: donnez sans faire de recherche un exemple connu de "Lépidoptère" ?

Je suis moi-même fan d'étymologie, je laisse donc le soin aux autres de répondre :) (Mais comme exemple j'aurai pu me citer moi même, pour ceux qui comprendront :) )
Autre avantage de l'étymologie : Cela aide à comprendre et retenir l'orthographe de certains mots!

Les HIQ c'est très intéressant je trouve, je n'ai compris que récemment qu'il fallait en avoir beaucoup pour que les votes soient généreux.
Pour les PIMP il faudrait déléguer du HP afin d'avoir des votes, mais j'en ai déjà délégué beaucoup, donc peut être plus tard.

I tell you another secret. Flamingos turn pink because of their diet. Their feathers contain pigments from the foods they eat, like shrimp and algae, which contain carotenoids that give them their distinctive color.
