An Unexpected Lunch Break: Celebrating Together

I'll continue on the Birthday of our boss's mother and this time, we went here for lunch and the first blog that I made that I posted here is the time that we woke up early to sing a mananita for her birthday.

Most of the old workers here knew when there's an occasion like a birthday from our boss's family, we will go to their house and celebrate together with them.

As I am new to this company, I didn't expected about this lunch because all I knew that we will have a normal day for our lunch but it turned out that it was a great lunch together with the other co-workers within the company.

Anyway, when lunch came, we went to their house and it's only a few streets away from the company but we cannot walk to go there because it's too hot. There are some employees that bring their vehicles which is the motorcycle and there are employees that doesn't have motorcycle. We rode together using the employees motorcycles to go to our boss's house.

I was surprised because there are many employees in the company that gather and celebrate to eat lunch with the other employees and here I thought that there are only a few employees but there are more than a hundred.

They separate the employee's lunch to the opposite and to the guests and visitors to the boss's house. After we got there, the food are already prepared and they are in the same line. There are different kinds of viands that they prepare like roasted pig, lumpia, Bicol express, chicken cordon blue, and etc etc.

The setup is that the women will be the first to line up and the first to be served and then after the women will be us (the men). We were happy for this kind of occasion that our boss invited us to eat lunch together with them in their house.

After they served all of the employees, we were silently eating in our tables because they also prepare tables and chairs, too. This is the food that we ate during our lunch and it was one of the best lunch during this month and our stomach is full.

I ate all of the food that is on my plate and the roasted pig or Lechon is one of my favorite food from this plate. We were satisfied by the food that we ate.

We stayed for a little while after we finished our lunch and we didn't knew that there is an ice cream that is in front of their door and only a few colleagues knew about it. So, only a few of them tasted and eat the ice cream.
