A Taste of Happiness: Our Family Lunch Adventure

It was last Tuesday that we had another family bonding here in the town where I work. Last Tuesday was a holiday and I plan on making this holiday a memorable one not for only to myself but also to my family, too.

There were three activities that we did together with my family during that holiday and I will share to you the first thing that we do which was eating lunch.

It was sunny and it was also lunch time that we went outside for our lunch. I decided to go to another place town for our lunch which is located in Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur. This food store is one of the famous food store here in town and not just famous only in the town but also in other towns.

We also went here with my wife years ago but at that time, we don't have any child yet. This time, we went here with my family and also with my beautiful and adorable daughter.

The name of the place is called Mon's Grill and this food store is famous for their halo-halo that whenever customer that dined in or take out, they will buy halo-halo for themselves.

So, years ago, I remember that there were only a few customers that dined in to this place but now, we can see that the place were full of customers as well as the table. While my wife is looking for a table, I was also lining in the counter so that we can order our food for our lunch.

There were also a lot of customers that fall in line and I was one of the customers and while falling in line, I was also looking at their food menu in front of us.

There were many food menu that we can pick and choose from the main dish to the side dishes with other snacks beside the cashier. There were many options that we order in this place but their signature menu is this halo-halo.

I ordered only a few food menu items from the store because we were only three and we can't order that many food and eat all of them. I order food that will fit just the three of us.

So, I ordered buffalo wings chicken, barbecue set meal (with drinks), extra rice, lasagna, and of course their signature dish the halo-halo. We waited for I think around 10 to 20 minutes for our order to be served and we dig in after the order has been served.

We were enjoying the food while my daughter was also eating, too, and while she was eating, she was playing with other stuffs like walking around our table, looking around, and watching videos.

The food was great like the buffalo wings were great in taste, also the lasagna that is served in hot but the barbecue meal was not what we expected because when we ate the barbecue (there were 2 sticks of barbecue that was on the plate and we share the barbecue with my wife) was cold and it's not that hot anymore. The taste was awesome but there were a hint of sour while eating it.

I was amazed because they didn't served the halo-halo yet while we were eating our lunch and they serve the halo-halo after we ate our lunch which is a positive expression to them since most of the food store that I went that has halo-halo was that they will serve all of it together.

I shake the halo-halo because that's what it is needed to do and then we ate together. I was amazed of the halo-halo because there were only a few crushed ice but there were full of ingredients that they put inside this with other real fruits that we can taste, too.

All in all, we were satisfied in the Mon's Grill food store and if we have another time again with my family, we would go here to try other different dish in the menu that they had.
