Trend Reversal of @splinterlands is on Track for 244X More Daily Signups in 6 Months
Recently I wrote about the process of financial dominoes falling towards HIVE DAPPs taking one of our oldest games as an example. For the short term, there is nothing we can do about the reality of funds having to go through TradFi captured blue chip cryptocurrencies first. Some of the investors that get rich off of $BTC will buy into established projects with billions of dollars in marketcap. Then we have to wait till those funds find the likes of $HIVE and eventually the likes of $SPS (and smaller).
Rules almost always have exceptions to them. If we are talking about market rules, there are always exceptions to them. Without those exceptions, spreadsheets should be enough to "run the economy". There will be some outlier to the general trend. We have seen over and over again how some projects see massive success in the market even during the worst parts of the bear market. There have been at least as many projects crashing during the euphoric times. Investors don't usually notice these while being preoccupied withe their profits.
Onboarding Should Begin for @splinterlands
The number of daily signups went up by 150% over the previous month. All these statistics can be found on this dashboard generously provided by @peakmonsters team. The timing coincides perfectly withe the general sale of Conclave Arcana. This is the exact time I would consider an ideal time to market the game. Those who grok compounding returns realize that these numbers could become massive if the pace keeps up.
244X More Daily Signups in 6 Months
This would (hypothetically) result in 30,517 new signups in the month of November. By December we could be basking in the full glory we had during 2021 - 2022 peak of the entire ecosystem. The question is whether marketing team can keep up scaling their efforts that long. I am definitely open to the idea of SPS DAO allocating some of its profits from Conclave Arcana (which broke even during Presale) for marketing once we figure out the winning formulas.
4.89% Conversion Rate
We have managed to build a very modern UI/UX along with in app education that keep the players from having to read documentation or watch tutorials. Player retention metrics are not publicly available as far as I know. Based on what is available on @peakmonsters, the conversion rate over the last 3 months was 4.24%. Conversion rate over the last month is 4.89%. I used to write of 3% of signups buying Spellbooks for $10 as a great victory. usually the expectation is that conversion rates would fall as some signups come.
Change in these metrics is sufficient proof that we are on the correct track. This is a good time to double down on everything that has been proven to work. This does not mean we abandon projects like Soulkeep. We can continue to work on all the other long term plans as long as the priority is getting the best out of positive market conditions to establish ourselves as a blockchain gaming Juggernaut.
The Meta Has Changed
Dual Splinter Summoners (now called Archons) changed the game in a significant way and kept gameplay fresh. What was released with Conclave Arcana completely breaks many of the rules without breaking the game. It is a very tricky balance to achieve. From the looks of it, we have mostly achieved that. This is how it was for my gameplay during the final Season under the old ways.

Town Hall
I understand that not everyone has the time to participate in these events. The weekly AMA style events has reduced to monthly events. The event goes on for longer and each event tend to come packed with more information. Often I end up being too busy to watch them. I most certainly miss the summaries on @splinterlands blog. There used to be the occasional user created summaries that were even more helpful. I think they were not appreciated enough while they lasted.

The LLM powered summaries are extremely helpful and save me a great deal of time. There are few very useful "AI Agents" on HIVE (especially on INLEO) that make life easier. What is even better is adding these content to HIVE helps to train HIVE specific LLMs based on Meta's Llama models.
Final Message from @davemccoy
He is a real success story that went from being gamer/investor to being a part of the team building the best CCG in all of cryptosphere. Things are certainly moving slow. Things are certainly moving in the right direction. We are on a limited budget. We need to get the best results for the little money we have and get back into six figure DAU counts. Anyone can see that the tests have figured out how to convert at high rates. We all have our interests aligned together. @splinterlands along with Invennium makes up the largest part of my portfolio. I will be fighting to get us to new heights in ways I am capable of.
Happy Gaming! Happy Investing!

Well written and good grasp of the situation @vimukthi!!!
Thank you!
I would urge a more conservative approach in your projections. I'm not quite sure that we'd see 30K sign ups a month. I'd love to see that sort of action on the hive chain, regardless of the app, but I don't know where those people would come from.
There are hundreds of millions of gamer and there @splinterlands was the #1 DAPP in the world by user counts for some time. Going back to previous ATH with the current state of the game should be a realistic target IMHO. Thank you for commenting.
