Don't stop making new memories!

Nostalgia

Sometimes I wonder why life isn't the same as it once was. We fall into a series of memories that take us back to a specific moment. They're fuzzy to see, to imagine; however, some objects we own will unlock memories that seemed forgotten or completely nonexistent. To my surprise, I've managed to remember a lot of things from my life, during a stage of growth, like the '90s.

Of course, memories come with what's called nostalgia. That feeling of wanting to go back in time, so, from time to time, we turn to videos or objects that take us back to a distant time, where everything seemed much more colorful and alive than it is now. I don't want to say that the contemporary world isn't fascinating, but everything seems to move much faster, leaving us little time to enjoy life, friends, family, and above all, ourselves.

Towards a process of adaptation

Life often takes unexpected turns that we must face. No matter how difficult it may seem, it is a test we must successfully overcome. Perhaps the time factor is something to worry about, but as long as we keep a goal in mind and continue on a straight path, progressing a little more each day, we will have the possibility of achieving it.

Nothing will be easy, obviously. Although it is not work in vain, it is something that strengthens every part of our being. This is how we can adapt to new challenges and, if possible, excel in each one. This leads us to reconsider how much we should consider the pace of life we lead today, reflecting on how to navigate the adaptation process based on the technological advances we are witnessing, prioritizing what makes us human: ourselves.

As I said at the beginning, we have been abandoning many things because part of our attention is focused on technology. We use social media and mobile devices so much that we have gradually lost the ability to connect with others. You may have stopped to look around and noticed that most people are holding a cell phone without even making eye contact. This is even more damaging if we bring it into the home, losing that family connection, which, in my opinion, is the most valuable, because time keeps passing, and we're completely wasting it.

Create valuable memories

From this arises the need to live another day with those who are no longer with us. Because we have been isolated from a valuable relationship by pure distraction. So I think we still have time and a way to completely change this. We just need to balance technology and the ability to feel and enjoy those around us. Furthermore, if we can realize this, we will also prioritize creating new memories. You may feel like you have more memories of the past than you have created in recent years.

As a final reflection, I think the past was very good despite some circumstances that shouldn't have occurred. But I also have very valuable memories, seen from a different perspective, without latent worries and in a more harmonious context. It was undoubtedly a great thing, but now we just have to build a promising future based on this reflection. Don't lose touch with those you love and enjoy it fully.

Hi, I like nostalgia. It's great to watch videos that transport us to a distant time.
I think staying on the right path helps us adapt to life's unexpected twists and turns.
I don't like the idea of losing family connections because of social media or mobile devices.
It will be great to maintain a balance between technology and enjoying the people around us.
Nice post, my friend.😀

Without a doubt! Finding a balance between the time we spend with our family and technology is essential. Thanks for commenting!
