I was in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, over the weekend. The city currently has a population of around 1.7 million. Bucharest is very spread out, optimized primarily for cars, and architecturally a wild mix of Soviet style (Ceaușescu era), neo-baroque, and functional buildings.

Never been but I must say Bucharest is a beautiful city, with it's fine architecture, well-paved streets flowing with people. It also looks like a peaceful place. Thanks for the pics.
I've never been to Romania but I have several Romanian friends and I would love to go.
Lot of graffiti around tough, but doesn't seem very different from other European cities
