Tweet claiming that X is muting CT (Crypto Twitter) is fake. But still, you cannot trust the algo, can you?

Auf X kursiert gerade das Gerücht, dass X Bitcoin-Content heimlich mutet. Das ist ein Fake.

Als Beweis wurde ein Fake-Post des leitenden Produkt-Manager von X, Nikita Bier, gepostet.

Screenshots von Posts bergen immer die Gefahr, dass diese manipuliert sein könnten. Daher empfiehlt es sich nach dem Original-Post zu suchen, um diesen zu verifizieren.

Auf Nikitas Profil wird dann schnell klar, dass der Post Fake ist.

Schwierig wird es, wenn der Post zwar echt ist, aber in der Zwischenzeit gelöscht wurde. Dann muss man sich auf die Reaktionen des Autors, der Community und dem Bauchgefühl verlassen.

In diesem Fall ist es aber schon von vornherein unwahrscheinlich, dass ein Produkt-Manager so einen Post schreiben würde.

Daher seid bei Screenshots besonders vorsichtig und checkt diese zweimal.

Was aber schon sein kann ist, dass durch Algo-Änderungen bestimmter Content weniger oft ausgespielt wird als früher. Vielleicht nicht absichtlich, um Krypto-Content zu entfernen, sondern einfach als Seiteneffekt einer komplexen Änderung.

Elon Musk hat wieder einmal angekündigt, den Algo von X zu veröffentlichen. Aber wie kann man überprüfen, ob der Code, der veröffentlich wird, überhaupt derselbe Code ist, der tatsächlich ausgeführt wird? Grundlegendes Problem von geschlossenen, zentralisierten Systemen.

There is currently a rumor circulating on X that X secretly censors Bitcoin content. This is fake news.

As proof, a fake post by X's head of product, Nikita Bier, was posted.

Screenshots of posts always carry the risk that they could be manipulated. It is therefore advisable to search for the original post to verify it.

On Nikita's profile, it quickly becomes clear that the post is fake.

It becomes difficult when the post is real but has been deleted in the meantime. Then you have to rely on the reactions of the author, the community, and your gut feeling.

In this case, however, it is unlikely from the outset that a product manager would write such a post.

Therefore, be especially careful with screenshots and check them twice.

What may be the case, however, is that algorithm changes mean that certain content is played less often than before. Perhaps not intentionally to remove crypto content, but simply as a side effect of a complex change.

Elon Musk has once again announced that he will publish the X algorithm. But how can you verify that the code that is published is actually the same code that is run on their servers? This is a fundamental problem with closed, centralized systems.
