haha, Trump is now selling Bitcoin sneakers, with the gold (Bitcoin Orange) edition already sold out.
There are three styles of 1000 each, Bitcoin Orange low and high tops (499 and 299 dollars respectively), and black high tops (299). The most expensive version is already sold out.
The sneakers feature the American flag, a Bitcoin logo and the inscription “Trump Crypto President”.
Critics would now argue that crypto doesn't need a president, it's decentralized for a reason. That is precisely the strength of crypto.
On the other hand, Trump is underlining the fact that crypto has entered the presidential election campaign for the first time in US history.
Two of the three major presidential candidates in the US now officially support Bitcoin. Unbelievable, isn't it?

Here's my simple thought.. I actually believe crypto needs a president or should I say "the president" yes it's Decentralized but it's Operating in a centralized economy so if it doesn't have the backing of the powerful leadership, it will face way too many hurdles in maintaining its Decentralization. I'm glad Trump is doing this and hope to see more of this. It proves that he would be genuine about his decisions with crypto

Wenn Trump wieder Präsident wird, könnten die Sneaker noch weiter an Wert steigen, wenn es keine neue Auflage gibt. Ist vlt eher wie eine Wertanlage als Alltagssneaker. So wie Luxus-Handtaschen, die tlw auch an Wert zulegen können.

I think it's a good thing for them to embrace crypto and BTC. However, I do think it's a cash grab and it's a good one.
