Anscheinend stammt dieser Spruch gar nicht von Voltaire, wurde ihm falsch zugeschrieben, aber er ist trotzdem wahr.
Um zu verstehen, wer euch in Wirklichkeit regiert, schaut euch an, was in den Medien Tabu ist und welche Seite man auf gar keinen Fall kritisieren darf.
Habt ihr den Spruch schon gesehen und wusstet ihr, dass er fälschlich Voltaire zugeschrieben wurde?
Ist aber oft so bei Sprüchen, denk ich.
Ein bekanntes Beispiel ist auch die legändere Aussage zum Arbeitsspeicher von PCs:
"640K (Kilobyte) sollten für jeden ausreichend sein." wird fälschlich Bill Gates zugeschrieben, das hat er so wörtlich nicht gesagt bzw. bestreitet es.

Apparently this saying is not from Voltaire, it was misattributed to him, but it is still true.
In order to understand who is really ruling you, take a look at what is taboo in the media and which side you are not allowed to criticize under any circumstances.
Have you seen this saying on social media and did you know that it was wrongly attributed to Voltaire?
But that's often the case with quotes, I think.
Another well-known example is the legendary statement about the main memory of PCs:
"640K (kilobytes) ought to be enough for anybody." is falsely attributed to Bill Gates, he denies having said that literally.

Wenn jemand Voltaire zitieren möchte, dann sollte er auf das Original zurückgreifen. Dies ist in diesem Fall nicht möglich, da der Franzose solchen Blödsinn nie zu Papier brachte.
Gequirlte Scheiße, in welcher Sprache auch immer publiziert, gewinnt keinesfalls an Qualität, wenn sie einem klaren Geist zugeschrieben wird.
Voltaire war mehr Schriftsteller als Philosoph und auch nie ein Mitglied rechtsnational angesiedelter Gruppierungen. Und stets bei bestem Verstand.

That is a very accurate phrase.
I think we're allowed to criticize anyone in the Western world. Most of us can only do that though. It's a different type of control. Not as strong but maybe even more effective.
good point, but there are still some limitations, especially regarding religions, and there is also hidden censorship going on, revealed by the Twitter Files for example. during corona it was not allowed to have an opposing view online.
Yes, some places online do have some form of censorship.
I read Voltaire, but did not come across such words from him. The phrase is very wise.
I think I have seen that saying a few times and I am sure that a lot of people just use whatever they find online.

640KB war die Speichergrenze von damaligen PCs, die unter MS-DOS liefen.
