Poland "not interested" in extraditing Nord Stream suspect Ukrainian Volodymyr Z. to Germany.

Polen hat "kein Interesse" den Nord Stream-Verdächtigen Ukrainer Volodymyr Z. an Deutschland auszuliefern, so der polnische Premier Donald Tusk.

Weiters sagt Tusk, das Problem von Poland sei auch nicht die Sprengung von Nord Stream 2, sondern dass die Pipeline überhaupt gebaut wurde. Das ist heftig. Die Auslieferung des Verdächtigen sei nicht im nationalen Interesse Polens.

Unmittelbar nach der Sprengung der Nord Steam-Pipelines kursierte in den Mainstream-Medien das Narrativ, dass Russland selbst seine Leitungen in die Luft gesprengt hätte.

Doch kurz nach der Sprengung postete der jetzige Außenminister Polens einen Tweet, in dem er den USA für die Zerstörung der Pipelines dankte. Dieser Tweet wurde dann wieder gelöscht.

Mittlerweile hat das ursprüngliche Narrativ der Mainstream-Medien, Russland hätte seine eigene Gas-Pipeline gesprengt, gewaltige Risse bekommen.

Nach langjährigen deutschen Ermittlungen gelten nun sieben Ukrainer, darunter vier professionelle Taucher, als Tatverdächtige. Eben einer dieser Ukrainer wurde im September in Polen wegen eines europäischen Haftbefehls verhaftet. Über seine Auslieferung wird jetzt in Polen heftig debattiert.

Bin gespannt, wie Polen in dieser Angelegenheit entscheiden wird. Jedenfalls ist es ein Zeichen alter Feindschaften, die längst überwunden sein sollten, und dass die EU nicht wirklich geschlossen agiert.

Die Sabotage der Nord Stream-Pipelines hat Deutschland und in Folge auch der EU erheblichen wirtschaftlichen Schaden zugefügt. Das ist kein Grund zur Freude, vor allem wenn sich herausstellen sollte, dass Verbündete Deutschlands die Anschläge geplant und ausgeführt haben.

Poland has “no interest” in extraditing Ukrainian Nord Stream suspect Volodymyr Z. to Germany, according to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Tusk further states that Poland's problem is not the destruction of Nord Stream 2, but rather that the pipeline was constructed in the first place. This is a harsh statement. The extradition of the suspect is not in Poland's national interest.

Immediately after the Nord Stream pipelines were blown up, the mainstream media circulated the narrative that Russia itself had blown up its own pipelines.

But shortly after the explosion, Poland's current foreign minister posted a tweet thanking the US for destroying the pipelines. This tweet was then deleted.

Meanwhile, the original narrative of the mainstream media that Russia had blown up its own gas pipeline got a lot of cracks.

After many years of German investigations, seven Ukrainians, including four professional divers, are now considered suspects. One of these Ukrainians was arrested in Poland in September on a European arrest warrant. His extradition is now the subject of heated debate in Poland.

I am curious to see how Poland will decide on this matter. In any case, it is a sign of old enmities that should have been overcome long ago, and that the EU is not really acting in unison.

The sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines has caused considerable economic damage to Germany and, as a result, to the EU. This is no cause for celebration, especially if it turns out that Germany's allies planned and carried out the attacks on German key infrastructure.
